Missing magnet?

I changed my oil and filters for the second time the other day. I have the 6000 mile service to be done on Friday.
I had ordered a set of the drain plugs that have the bolt head that requires a 17mm socket. Both of the new drain plugs have the super magnet on them. I noticed that the factory drain plug I removed from the reservoir had no magnet. Is this normal? Is or was there supposed to be a magnet on that original drain plug? Just askin' cause I don't know?

Putting the new drain plug in the reservoir was tricky cause it kept sticking to the metal and didn't want to go in the hole. "The hole is your home, go home".

There is no magnet on the OEM drain plug for the oil tank.

Like Scotty said, No magnet don't need one there, But there is a screen [strainer] at the bottom of the reservoir hose line that should be checked at 600 miles and 14,000 miles.

Take a used toilet paper roll... cut it in half so it's only about 2" long... then cut it lengthwise.... then roll a bit tighter and place in the opening leading to the reservoir...... this should help keep it from sticking to the metal while you help the plug 'find its home'......
