• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have posted a few times on here and on a couple of other spyder forums, looking for information.

Its only a 5 hour ride from here but I can not find any info or registration information in English.

Sorry but I don't speak, read or write french, googled, searched forums and sort of gave up.

do you have any links to english information and registration.

I would take the fact that you are having a hard time locating stuff that you can read as an omen on how the weekend will go if you go up there, Harry. The forms last year were in French, but there was a place on the website that translated it into English. Unfortunately, there was absolutely NO English spoken by anyone in charge. Not even a "Hello, to our English-speaking Spyderlovers." Even the Canadians from other provinces were complaining about everything being in French. There wasn't enough Spyder interest in attempting to break the world record from the year before so that fell short by a handful of bikes...it's a boring SLOW ride with the Spyder parade, (and your temperature gauge will run hotter than usual because of the slow speed) but things were well coordinated with the local officials, as far as closing off intersections till the bikes went through. Last year's schedule had the Spyder parade on Saturday, if you chose to only go for one day, Harry, and the Guinness record breaking potential appeals to you. Will we go back for another Spyderfest Magog? Probably not, unless they become more Anglo-friendly. We'd much rather go where we feel more welcome...the other Canadian provinces are friendlier, in our opinion.

The more and more I look at this I think I'm going to skip, I was just going as an excuse to go some where.

I like ridding with small groups but not large groups, I would skip the parade.

I have posted on a few forums about this event and googled away, very little information out there and what is out there is in french.

Previous inquires have meet with the same response as yours, seems this is a french spyder event,

I will be going to SITA going up on the Thursday and stay through Sunday.

We thoroughly enjoyed SITA :yes:...hope the weather is good for you (we got drenched last year during the poker run). Too bad you don't have enough time to tour the Olympic stuff in Lake Placid. They have a $29 (last year's price) Olympic Passport that gets you into each of the Olympic venues. Very informative. We even got to watch 2 guys go off the ski jump in July, with the indoor/outdoor carpet sprayed with water...definitely NOT something I'd ever do!
