• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

question for RS owners that removed the rear fender..

I’m planning to trim the rear fender in my RS, so I need to have the license plate reallocated.

My preference is to place the plate below the tail lights, but the only kit I have found places the license plate on the side ( e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350176675893)

Could you share where did you get your kit from??.. pics are also very much appreciated..

Thanks in advance,

This is what I ended up doing...and it was free! Just used the stock bolts and bolted her on. Bought the little LED light you see above it per Krylon's recommendation (you may know him as arntufun) and tapped into the brake wire that fed the plate light before.

That's what I will do... thanks for the pic!!

The tire doesn't touch it under full compression?

No problems at all...and I ride two-up a lot and have hit some big pot holes.

No problem. I took the connectors off the fender and tied my light into that harness so it tucks up under the fender and still is a quick disconnect if I need to remove the under tail section for whatever reason.

Great idea and I thought of that as well...my cousin-in-law is a MI State Trooper and told me he would ticket a Spyder with the plate like that because it wasn't horizontal enough to be read at speed. (Yeah...I don't agree with that...)

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea...I just don't want my ride interrupted for something so simple.

Rock on Spyderlover!

I got pulled over a few months ago and the cop said nothing about having no front fenders or my license plate being mounted like that. There are SOO many crotch rockets with them mounted under the tail like that I kinda doubt they would actually ticket for it. I could see MAYBE if it were not lit up.
