• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who'll be the first side hack jockey

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
to mount a RS and blow racing Spyders wide open? Seems to me the two would be a perfect match as long as the rider has throttle experience that matches his ability to hang out and hang on.

Now that's some racing I'd go to watch! Probably be as cool as Speedway. :ohyea:

I'm actually somewhat surprised no one's tried racing Spyders before. I guess that BRP wouldn't be eager to sponsor a racing series simply because even the RS ain't designed for it, i.e. the nanny exists to keep *normal* riders out of trouble, not *aid racers* around a track.

And let's be honest, these are not cheap machines. Without BRP's blessing, who is going to pony up the cash to sponsor such a series at $17K a vehicle?

Still, I hope to see a legitimate Spyder race someday. Hack racing is great fun to watch, I can only imagine what fun full-blast, drunken-monkey-style-hang-off-brand Spyder racing (TM) could be!

A bunch of years ago they tried racing BIG trucks at NASCAR... it would have to be better than that!

Actually for oval racing a spyder, just get longer A arms for the right side and shorten the ones on the left and you'd already be riding side hack:thumbup:
