Rear left turn signal

Rear left turn light doesn't come on. The front left does however. I checked the fuse and it's good. I also checked the bulb by switching it to the right side, and it works. So there must be a connection loose in between the two?? Am I at the point now to drive ( a hour and a half) to the dealer, or is there something else I can check?

By the way, I noticed that the right turn signal blinks slow and the left turn signal blinks fast. I don't know if that means anything or not...might be how it's supposed to be. Lol (Forgive me, I'm a Noob )

I had the same problem with my right rear lamp -- dropped down the rear under fender - black plastic piece with 3 torx (T25 i think )bolts on each side . I unscrewed the lamp and the one wire was not pushed all the way into the plug .. All s good now .

I hope yours is as easy of a fix :thumbup:

I had a similar problem. If I remember correctly, just behind the bulb holder/socket are quick connects. One of the wires at the quick connect end had come loose after removing the rear panel and letting it hang. Did you check the quick connect connections? I think Dwanton may be talking about the same thing. But, I didn't have to drop the plastic panel above the rear wheel to get to the connection. Removed the lens and there was a black plastic clip that holds the socket in place.

I had to drop the panel to feed the wire back through . But yes , same thing -- would be great if this is his problem -- quick , easy fix :thumbup:

Rear Left Turn Signal

Hello I just had the same Problem on my rear right side signal. I just added the sports rack and backrest to my 2012 RS-SM and when i put the bike back together the signal didn't work. and after reading this tread last night i found the problem. The black quick connect wire wasn't connected to light fixture. So on that note i want to say thank you because i was sure gonna take my bike to the dealer today and get charge $100 or more , for nothing! :bowdown:
