• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

original warranty question

Under Federal law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) a manufacturer cannot require you to have a dealer do the work to maintain the warranty. You need to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and schedule. You should document the work with receipts, photos, mileage notes, etc. Be aware that there are other tasks involved at the various maintenance intervals besides the oil change. These need to be completed as well. If BUDS is needed to accomplish any of them, the dealer is your only choice.

Thanks Scotty; I was hoping that you would respond. From the post I have read you seem to have a good bit of knowledge in these areas. What to you think of Rotella T.

I have never used Rotella T. Lamont used to, but had a clutch slipping incident after they changed the packaging and labelling...and apparently the formulation. I wouldn't risk it after that.
