• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A little frustrated all around today...

So, I purchased my 2012 RS about 3 weeks ago. I got it home and noticed that some genius at the dealership must have been trying to rub something off of the windshield in two different places, so depending on the lighting, it looked horribly scratched. So, when I took it in this past Monday for it's 600 mile service, I asked them if they would replace it. I went to the dealer today, they did replace the windshield for me, BUT as the salesman was removing their dealer advertising sticker, he used Goo-B-Gone on the windshield and didn't remove all of the dirt off of it first and scratched it yet again. :yikes: UGH! OK, that's the first part....

Secondly, when I went to go pick up my RS today (Wednesday) they still had yet to wash it (after having it since Monday). After the whole 'windshield' ordeal, I told them nevermind and I would do it myself. As my husband and I looked at my new 'ride' closer, I SWEAR they took it four wheeling, there was so much dirt and road grime on it, I could have puked. Mind you, I had just fully detailed it on SUNDAY (the day before) I took it in for service. WTF?!
:gaah:

THEN....I get home. I have been waiting for my new Ultimate Seat to ship to me, it came from Canada because I had gray stitching and a spider embroidered on it. The box looked like it had been thru World War III, so being 'smart' I took pictures of the box before I EVEN thought about opening it. It literally looks like it had been opened and taped back shut atleast 20 times. Thank goodness the seat was 100% ok, but, they didn't send me my rain cover that I ordered, no receipt, no instructions, and upon looking at their website, I 'guess' I was supposed to get some bolt and a hex tool? We have tools here, my husband is a mechanic, but is the missing bolt going to be an installation problem? I called Florida, to try and find out where I had to ship my stock seat back to since it is a $250 core fee and I didn't have an RGA#, and he told me 'we don't know what they do up there in Canada'. OH MY GOD....REALLY? :banghead: So now, I have to wait atleast another week to get my rain cover and I am going to have to call them back tomorrow because I atleast want an emailed receipt.

Someone, please help me find my sanity.....

It happens! Just breathe!!!...

Well, true to an extent. But if we just accept shoddy service without saying anything, then that's exactly what we'll get next time around. I'm not saying to make a scene or get nasty, but I think when the service is disappointing you've got to let them know. JMHO

Oh definitely it will happen. Maybe visit with the owner or manager and express your dissatisfaction.

As my son always says to me whenever I vent about such things: "First world problems." :roflblack:

Seriously though some dealers can be remarkably thoughtless about something you just spent a fortune on. I could tell you some stories...

Email a copy of this Thread to your Dealer & Seat Company

:yikes:I'd bet, one way or another, you'd get a response:yikes:

:firstplace:If they care about their business, they'd do what they could to make things right for you:bowdown:

nojokeIf they don't care, then you know to find a different dealernojoke

:mad:And you can let your lack of financial support speak for you:mad:

:ohyea:This forum (SpyderLovers) actually carries alot of weight with most dealers, as they know word of mouth advertising can make or break their dealership:ohyea:
BTW, :congrats: on your new Ryde & :welcome:

Well we did get the seat on last night with no problems thanks to a post put on here on how to easily remove the stock seat. I am very greatful for that!

I have to call Ultimate this morning about the receipt & the rain cover. I hope all goes well with that too.

Today is a new day

That's the spirit!!

We recently had a horror story posted here about a bike being shipped to Hawaii... It arrived with a list of damages that was long enough to make you want to.... :barf:

Good luck with getting your raincover!

I read that story, that was terrible! I know there could be way worse things that could happen than what I have going on, but I just needed to vent lol

That's why we're always here... Sometimes a virtual hug is needed...

I know exactly what you are saying and how you feel. The dealer hell bubble is a bad place to be. Take a deep breath, it will be OK. You are getting all the bad things at once, so once its over it will be clear ryding for you!

;)It will all be better a month from now. It is amazing how some companies handle freight. They probably packed a 1000# item on top of your packages. Its always scarry when a package arrives in that condition.

:yikes:When flustered :banghead: and in doubt :dontknow:, run and scream and jump and shout :cus:.

Hope you feel better.
