• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Bed Lined Spyder is DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I have no doubts I will, its riding season, and I think I will look at paint in the winter. That will give me time to decide on a color I like and locate it.

However, I am about to replace my tires, and the SAME company makes a tire sealer that helps keep your tires all shiney. That is game on.

If you give it a try, remember not to use Line-X, it is industrial and too heavy.

Ayup, I was refering to Dupli-Color, they have a Tire shiney thingie too. Their only bed liner is black best I can tell (SADFACED PANDA)

OK, I just learned a lot about what not to do, during this and I don't want anyone making a mistake. Use Dupli-Color or Duraliner (which comes in different colors) if you want to bed line your Spyder. :yes:

By the way after you bed line the Spyder, during your first ride you may have a strange smell from your Spyder and it is the paint curing.

Awesome job, looks fantastic - better than the Phantom, I think. :2thumbs:

Please keep us posted on how well it wears during your rides. I'm curious to see and hear about how well it stands up to the environment. Have you tried throwing a rock at it yet?? :shocked: nojoke

Fantastic results!!! That came out better than any of us could have imagined!!! You are an artist!!! I mean it!! Looks fantastic!!!!!

I actually wanted the Phantom Panels but didn't want to spend the $1,000 on them. I think this is a great alternative.

I've always liked the contrast of the blacks on the Phantom. But like you , didn't want to spend a grand on the look. You really got me wanting to try this. :thumbup:

Great, great job.::firstplace:

Make sure that you have a fall back position, just in case something goes wrong. I purchased an extra set of panels just in case it didn't turn out right. I walked in with a vision in my head, but fear in my heart that I was going to ruin the panels. Please do a test piece and be careful.

No I have not thrown a rock at it yet. I am sure that the cars around me will take care of that soon enough. ;)

You are not going to believe this! I screwed up the hood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, sometimes being a perfectionist works against me. There was a light spot in the middle of the hood so I tried to dust cover it with another layer of bed liner, but it came out lumpy (I should have stopped there), but no, I figure it was still wet and I could wipe it away that didn't work it smeared (I should have stopped there), but no, so then I tried sanding it but made it even worse never sand wet paint, I don't know what I was thinking.

So I stripped the hood of all bed liner, it is actually rubber and easy to remove with high heat. I will be repainting this weekend and then Stealth Billie will be back on the road! I can't wait.

:shocked: Sorry to hear about a bump in the road for Stealth Billie... You'll get everything back to "great" this weekend; I'm sure of that! :thumbup:
