Troubleshooting 2008 RS Starting

I have a 2008 RS with 4K that when I attempt to start makes a humming, whining, clicking sound and resets the <PRESS M BEFORE...>. I am unable to start it.

The battery is fully charged. Transmission has been in neutral and first gear. Brake Pedal both pressed and released. Passenger is seated and off the bike. I am allowing the functions checks to cycle after turning the ignition key to start. Pressed the Left Handlebar Mode button. Kill switch in start position.

Any ideas, I am headed to the dealership this week at $120 per hour labor.

History on the bike.
-Purchased New in May 2009.
-Starter Replaced with less than 500 miles same month.
-Stored by dealer from SEP 2009 to APR 11. A little detour to Iraq
-Fully serviced before removing from storage with battery replaced.
-Oil changed at 3,000 miles about a month ago.
-Garage kept, always

The battery may read charged, But by the sounds your describing its not holding a charge, The battery is probably bad so when you hit the starter it shorts out. [bad cell]

New Battery No Luck

Recommended battery arrived today. It is a tight fit in the battery box, but took the cables just fine. Same symptoms....off to the dealership.

Hmmm have same bike. Waiting to see how this plays out. Relay?
