• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer interface module

I did not want to play god with the trailer harness on the Spyder and I did not want to play god with the harness on the trailer so I decided to make my own interface module
Here is how I did it.
IMG_1745.jpgbought this tongue harness from the dealer. This is what goes into the tongue of the 622 trailer and has a connector that plugs into the main wiring of the 622. About $110
IMG_1750.jpgbought this 6 pin trailer hitch connector. About $10
IMG_1755.jpgtook apart the 6 pin connector, pulled out my handy dandy wiring diagram for both the Spyder and the trailer and began wiring up the interface together
IMG_1751.jpganother look at the harness connector
IMG_1763.jpgThis here is the interface module for the new trailer 9 pin to 6 pin interface left me two wires that where not used Orange and Yellow.

This project has only been tested in as far as continuity of the connection is true through a volt meter. I get the Trailer in April and that is when the real test happens.

This project can be easily done with a 4 pin connector
