• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I purchased Liberty (aka Libby; 2011 RT-S SE) brand new in August 2011 and have been keeping busy, when not riding, adding the following mods:
  • TricLED Fender Lights (operating as running and turn signals)
  • TricLED Rear end 4th and 5th brake lights (operating as running and brake lights)
  • Genesis HMT LED 3rd brake light (operating as brake light only)
  • PowerSportsWraps Rally Stripes
  • Utopia Backrest
  • BRP Trailer hitch - tongue harness modified for an Aluma Trailer (5-way connector)
  • Seal Floorboards - DLX version
  • Removed fuel and temp gauges and added a 12v socket and Voltmeter
  • Drop-down mirror in the rear trunk lid

Next on the list:
  • Ram mount on the handle bar for my iPhone so that I can use it for navigation.
  • iPod holder in the rear trunk
  • Trunk organizer for the rear (I'm thinking something like you see on the back of a driver's seat in a car, or a carpenter's belt bag)
  • Red rally stripes on my white helmet
  • Add some kind of Spyder insignia ('Y') or Red rally stripes to my white Aluma MCT trailer
  • Install insulation and lining to the trailer
I don't think I've ever loved a machine more than I love my :spyder2:! :ohyea:

Ram mount for GPS is done. I mounted it using Scotty's method in the "Simple Ram Mount for RT" thread. I haven't had a chance to use it much because the weather hasn't been cooperating lately, but I'm thinking I might mount it to the top of the dash if it doesn't work out on the handle bars.

It took several weeks, but I finally finished carpeting the interior of my Aluma MCT trailer. I started with 1/2" foam board, used 3M spray adhesive to glue it to the sides, then adhered indoor/outdoor carpet (runners, with rubber backing). I chose to put the ribbed style on the floor with the thought that perhaps stuff won't slide around as easy....we'll see.

My latest mod is installing a hidden garage door opener. I purchased a keychain opener and thought a lot about where the best place to put it would be. I knew that wherever I put it, it would need to be protected from rain and water. I also knew that I needed to come up with some kind of button to reach the remote button, so off to Ace Hardware I went. I found a type of rubber plug that had a protrusion long enough to push the button on the remote and have a big enough surface to be effective in covering the hole and protecting the remote from rain and water. I thought about hiding it under the speaker grill, but when I sat in the seat and reached over to where it would be it felt awkward. That's when I started thinking about the Ram mount on the dash and the idea came to me to place the garage remote in the dash and install the button under the dash. This would solve any issues with water. I had to modify the rubber plug a little to ensure there's enough give to allow it to push the remote button, but it works great.
