• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Two Happiest Days

I am sure most of us have owned things where the two happiest days of ownership were THE DAY WE GOT IT!!and THE DAY WE SOLD IT!!.......Funny thing about the SPYDER.....there is no tapering off of loving it!Each day of ownership and riding is just as rewarding as the first!I have a full past porfolio of bikes, trikes, and atv's...about 70 plus! Spyder stands alone with not one degree of drop in passion for this 3 wheeler which I ride pretty much daily.
Buyers Remorse??Does not and will not hit this hard core bike nut.Current bikes in my stable......Spyder 2618 and Buell xb12s........riding %....Spyder85%....Buell15%.
Anybody got Buyers remorse yet???:dontknow:

Picked mine up yesterday. 150 miles so far!! Rode today and it was a great afternoon for riding in Colorado.

No remorse, but I have been lucky so far. 1,000 miles and no brake squeal, no overheating, no tire problems, no limp mode, no component failures and dealer did 600 mile service for $200. Fun factor increases with each ride as comfort level and feel become more natural. On the disappointment side, heat on left leg and right foot are annoying and should have been caught during design and testing and not required owner fixes and windshield deficiencies are so obvious it is hard to see how they were missed. Burn spot on muffler does not affect performance, but still is bothersome as it indicates design flaw. For me, buyers remorse seldom sets in early as I am generally a long term owner of toys (still riding my 1988 Sea Doo). I only get remorseful if whatever I buy turns out to be a time share with my dealer.

You'll get this thing away from my wife only if you pry the handlebars out of her cold, dead hands. Guess that means no remorse.

I put $1000 down, sight unseen. Seeing how this is my first open air vehicle, I had two fears - (1) the Spyder would be cheaply made, an overpriced fad toy, which I would come to regret and (2) how would my two-wheeler buddies respond when they see it?

For (1) the machine is awesome and lives up to the collateral I read ahead of time. And for (2) EVERYONE thinks this machine rocks and I'm invited frequently to join my two-wheeler friends on their ride events.

I love to ride. I'm proud to have been lucky enough to buy one. No regrets. None!

Actually, the Gen2 Spyder ought to have the V4 Rotax is working on; supposedly over 200 HP.

Funny thing is there is very little real information available on the web on what the 2009 model will or will not have. The existing engine has plenty of power and torque so I couldn't imagine a V4 200 HP model :yikes:

My only remorse is that I bought it during the rainy season here in South Florida. Being my first open air ride, I'm still a bit weary of riding in the rain. But this too shall pass.

Sheesh...I can't imagine this thing with 200 hp, seems a little to much for the design as is. I could see another 20~25 hp and different tranny. 200 hp on a m/c...no problem...the spyder makes me a little nervous above 80 mph, especially when the road has the semi-truck ruts...those little wheels love to climb those and spyder starts zig-zaggin a little.
