• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need info for extended warranty

Just bought new RT was wondering about buying extended warranty. Should I and if so what co. would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I would do a search for extended warranty and you will see a ton of discussions on this.

Berts Mega Mall has some good pricing on BRP Extended warranty which is highly recommended. It is recommended to buy within 60 days of buying your spyder to get the best price.

I would also check with your dealer you purchased from to see if they will give you the best price. Mine was actually lower that Berts price.

Who to go with, I agree with the above post.

Whether to do it? In a word, "Yes".
The cost is reasonable when broken down per year, and even a cluster replacement or throttle body after the factory warranty expires would pay for it. Good insurance IMO. These wonderful machines can be very expensive to repair.

I purchased mine when I purchased my Roadster along with with the pre- paid maintenance. I would get it and never look back. The dealer gave me a deep discount and I believe Bert's pricing is still slightly better than what I paid. I would suggest to get on the phone with Burt.

I have RPM ONE extended warranty insurance.

Cost was around $700.00
Spyder is 2010 RT-S with 25,500 miles
Original warranty expired on January 12, 2012
Replacement of exhaust pipe and valve cover gaskets January 14, 2012.
Warranty work was $785.00

Extended warranty paid for itself
