• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You heard it here first- BRP Owners Event 2012

If there is going to be a really large group staging in Albuquerque, either Sandia or Santa Ana Casino may be more appropriate. They will have plenty of room in their parking lots. Also if time permits, hitting NM 4 on the way could be a real treat. It's considered the best motorcycle route in the state.

was so exciting

It was so exciting at first, now it's just died. Come on BRP just want to start planning this trip or if I even get to go.
Sorry, just not a patient man.

Lamont--Thanks for the heads up. I think there'll be a pretty good Texas Spyder crowd headed that way. Looking forward to hearing something in the next week or so about the June dates. By the way, I hope you and your family had a great Christmas.

That's a ryde I want to do! It'll 'only' be 3-4 days each way but if the dates work out, I'm in!
Any word when the dates will be announced?

Rod.

:agree: Sandia Resort & Casino is right off I-25 and would be an excellent staging area.

I think that would be a great place. I wonder if they have good rates and would be willing to have a truck and trailer parked there while in Durango with the spyder - If there was another night's stay on the return.

Sure wish they would set the date

Come on over to SpyderFest in Cuba MO in April and you will get to meet some of the MoGang folks and hopefully join in on a ride to the BRP event in Durango!

Also, We (my wife and I) do some riding up into Southern Illinois often. Visit the wineries and also love going to Giant City Lodge if you have ever been there. Would love to meet up some time! :doorag:

Sounds good Stevemac...never been to Giant city Lodge..We always start out going somewhere and end up somewhere else!...We are just waiting on dates for BRP event so we can ask off work..Would love to meet up and ride with a group..Thanks

Put me in coach, i'm ready to go, just let me know. We ride so Ill also. Even with Rams fans. lol"
Looking back , Eagles game vs spyder picnic. duh We've been to three this year, thats why i know.
Thanks, Jerry

Gee, that sounds familiar!!!:roflblack:

Yeah it sounds kinda like Mark and Laurie! You nearly gave Jerry Chickenhoose a heart attack when you gave him the patented "SmithSneakAway"! I however am used to it by now! LOL

Lamont if there is any way to push BRP to annouce the dates it would be helpful to those that are trying to plan vacation days and have to request them early in January for the year. I know we have a few people that would like to try to include Durango in with another trip out that way, but without the dates when they have to request vacation days, they may not be able to go. :dontknow:

Looks like we should hear something at the end of next week.

Jerry,we need to meet up on a ride sometime next summer...W have season tix to the Rams ..Thankfully one more game left and it is going to inetefere with New Years Day ride to Grafton,Il.. with Spyder club...:(

A buddy and I are talking about a ride to the coast this summer but I have a feeling he might bail, so I told the better half I was going to do a road trip this year for sure. Being some what new to the community... what does one expect of a owners event?

There will be a bike show, lots of food, great riding and great fellowship. It's also a great place to checkout mods that other members have done before you buy. There won't be any aftermarket vendors there, if you want that then Spyderfest in Cuba MO is the event to go to. Either one will be a good time for sure. :doorag:

The best part of an "Owners Event" is all the Spyderlovers you get to meet.....and ride with.....BRP is very accomodating....plenty of cold drinks...excellent food on Saturday...prizes....a short program...music....a Spyder Contest....really alot of fun....I was very impressed with BRP at Maggie Valley...and it's all free.............for owning a Spyder
