• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Key Ring Solution (Maybe)

Neat idea, but will it work with keys that have computer chips in them ???:dontknow:

In order to hook anything to our precious computerized keys you'll have to drill a hole in them... :yikes:
Lamont has shown us all where it's safe to drill through them... now it's a matter of gathering up the courage to do so...

I didn't the Spyder key would fit in that [thickness of the key] Also the extra weight of the holder might screw up the ignition switch.

Where's the safe place??

i have to say that I like the idea. Maybe not for the spyder since I already use the "IPS" but would certainly work well for everyday keys. The Spyder key would be $25 just for the key since it is chipped on top of the $39 for for the Keyport. Might have to give it a try but not for my Spyder.

Dril on

Thanks:thumbup:----Now all I need is the guts to try it.Anyone with sucess?

Could not have been eaisier! I used a small bit for a starter and then the second bit was larger to fit a standard ring. I placed a small lightweight garage fob on the ring - that is all the weight I have on the ring. I connect that ring to other rings or belt loop with a Caribiner. Keep above the Can Am name but remember don't go too far to the top edge or it could pull through.

I drilled the 1st key in the bottom dimple. The ring just passes over the ends. We put a horse-hair tassle on it.. I saw another on someone made and copied it with my versionKey pouch.jpg

Time on your hands

Now I see where you guys get all your ideas for mods from...Time on your hands.. Or are you like me and :chat: with yourself. Was looking at the key-pouch and thought it needed a bit more flair, seeing the :spyder: has a lot of flare.. The only drawback is the key is sewn in the pouch. No return without destruction... Better keep trying..Key Pouch 004.jpg

I love it! I'd buy one from you!

You don't need to drill it, the rubber is soft enough to push an awl through. A bit fuzzy you get the idea.

I like your idea also! Please keep us in the "loop" (so to speak!) as development continues...
I was thinking of maybe stitching it far enough to insert the key, and make it so that one side had a long tail on it to pass thru the keyring and a snap could be used to finish it off. I just have a problem:shocked: with having someones spare key or possibly several and get them mixed up :opps:
