• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder will not move!

Q&A

Does anybody know if BRP has a Q&A department at the factory? it seems that it may need to look at / for problems before the product leaves manufacturing.

Lulus Home

Hi,

Yes we ride quite a bit, that was no mistake, 6000 mile service, we are now on approx. 8500 mi getting ready for the 9000 mi check up.:(Another trip to the dealer, yuk!

We rode about 100 miles last two days between the raindrops...hopefully by Mon all this rain will clear up and we can take a longer trip!! Been having so much fun on our Spyder when it is running right, it is very upsetting when she is not here! We hope all the bugs are worked out now! :spyder:

We still love our Spyder!

First report is: Clutch Solenoid. I hope that's what it is. Honestly I'm not real comfortable with my dealer. Every time we have had something done we have had to call to get the update or to ask if it is ready. We took it in for the 600 mile service and I don't know how long they would have kept it if we hadn't called. Then we had the wiring for the CB done. They had to order the parts and said they would call us to bring it in when the parts come in. After two weeks we called them and "they said" they just come in today. After taking it in after three days we called to ask when we could pick it up. "They said" we "just" finished. Now with this, I called Friday to tell them it was on the way. I didn't hear anything else from them so I called them around 5:15 to make sure it had arrived and if they had an ETA. I knew they were closed Monday and the guy told me they would look at Tuesday and call me. No word Tuesday so I called them today around 1. Same story.... he is working on it now and "thinks" it is the clutch solenoid. So I asked him to call me when he was sure. He tells me that they guy working on it said he is pretty sure and will call me when the part comes in. Am I expecting too much? Do most dealers not call you? Heck does the clutch have a solenoid?:dontknow:

"Do me wrong once shame on you, do me wrong twice shame on ME". How many times is this dealer going to not take of you before you find a dealer who appreciates your business.

We will be using the dealer out of Greenville, NC going forward. It is a pain in the butt to have to haul the Spyder almost 2 hours away for service but a girls got to do what a girls got to do.

A pain, yes, but I think you will be happier in the long run. I pass a dealer on my way to "my dealer"... You ride a lot, so ya gotta have that machine running. Good luck.
