Russell Day Long seats group buy

I found this post on Adv rider regarding a group buy on Russell seats. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=723676
This is an opportunity for a 20% discount on a great seat. A few years ago Deb(dtang) put together a similar agreement with Russell and over 50 were able to take advantage of this. As the poster said, it looks like there will be a limit of 100 seats and this limit is not brand specific. Those of you that are interested in a Russell, this is your chance. The work will be done in the winter when many of us are not riding; or you can do as I did and send in a spare seat(purchased on Spyderlovers) and have your regular seat rebuilt.

This really looks like a nice seat for the Spyder RT. Can't tell from this photo but if it has a fuel access door similar to the Corbin this would be a great alternative to the stock seat.

The above seat is on my bike in my garage. It's a Russell and does not have the fuel door. Russell tried fuel doors for handicapped ppl. It didn't work too well. I find the fuel door makes it difficult to see into the tank and can cause gas to drip on the seat if you're not careful. I have a Corbin with the same stitch pattern as the seat pictured that's available if anyone wants it.

Like many, I love the fuel door on my Corbin, bit it is definitely still firm. Even after more than 5000 miles.

I am also hoping that Ultimate will eventually come out with an RT seat, but again that fuel door is something I wouldn't want to give up.

Also interested in Doug's views, vis-a-vis Corbin versus Russell (or any other members who have knowledge of both). I was originally considering the Corbin for the passenger armrests, but Radgirl is re-thinking that option. The only other concern I have with the Corbin is the seat firmness, which I gather is quite firm, and the experiences of some here seem to be that it never "de-firms" quite enough for their liking. Is the Russell also a firm seat? Or is it softer than the Corbin offerings? (For me, fuel door would be nice, but is not a deal breaker. Radgirl wants to get off and stretch legs anyway by the time we stop for fuel.)
