A few minutes ago I received an email and link for MV attendees to complete a survey on the likes, dislikes, where would you like 2012 event, etc., etc., etc.. It's a great opportunity to provide opinions.
I suggested Colorado for next year.. that could allow us a western version of Maggie Valley and allow more attendance from the Western States. I have no problem riding there from Florida
I believe my sentence starts with the letter I, so there is no indication that I am speaking for anyone other than myself...Oh!!!!! are you speaking for all of us Florida peeps????:roflblack:
I don't care where it is as long as it's not in a big city and there's good riding in the area. :doorag:
The question is should I still do the Lamonster BBQ if they move it from Maggie Valley??? :dontknow:opcorn:
I just completed mine. I really let them know how disappointed I was about the "no vendors allowed" policy. I know, I know it was a corporate event but I still think vendors should be allowed access in some way even if it's on an adjoining site. As far as next year I said they needed to get the info out sooner and to get the event host hotel in the same town as the event. I think that was very poor planning on their part last year. Now for the specific location I selected Montana. A little further west but not so far that those of us east of the big river to not make and closer to the Left coast without going to the other side of the mountains.
PM sent!
Yea, right! Compete against all those local Spyder and Motorcycle Venders. Fine, MV can keep to itself as far as I'm concerned. There are much nicer areas in NC that are motorcycle friendly I'd rather go to anyway.![]()
It would be nice if BRP alternated east and west of the Mississippi so the long drive would be every other year.
Not to Hijack the tread. Lamont we are hooked on TN and NC and have taken a weeks vacation to do the Lamonsters BBQs and will continue to do so one way or another. Meeting with you and all the Spyderlovers is a stand alone event and I'm sure if you BBQ they will come .
I spent some time with SpyderPops @ Maggie Valley when he was having trouble setting up to sell his stuff. He discovered that Maggie Valley will not issue a vendor license to a non-resident. It didn't matter if BRP wanted vendors or not, Maggie Valley doesn't. We figured they don't want outsiders coming in and competing directly against their residents. I do not know if this policy played into BRP's decision on the site or if it was something discovered after the site was announced.
I also fussed at BRP on their FaceBook page about announcing the event in one town & then promoting the hotels of a different town.
Have not received a survey...
That was the second owners event.:agree: Didn't the first owners event happen in Hollywood Ca?
