This was one of the longest days in my life. I don't know if I posted this already or not but I was working on about 1 hour of sleep and the day was suppose to start at 4am but I ran into some Spyder issues that I had to fix before we could leave. It couldn't have happened at a worst time but that's the "Lamonster Way".
The day started in Rapid City at 4am, got to the Badlands around 6am I guess. The BRP film crew got us all hooked up and we pretty much had the whole park to our self and that was great. It was almost cold driving down there and that was kind of nice after being hot for so long the days before. We did the loop and got some great video and pics that I'm sure you're going to see soon.

From there we went to Wall Drug for breakfast and some photo ops. Got a great parking spot right in front and that's hard to do during the day. The breakfast wasn't that great to be honest but I still like going there.

We headed to Mount Rushmore from there and took some more pics and video along the way. Now understand that Len from Cowtown was kind enough to wash and wax my Spyder the day before when we got in so I would look good for the videos, that all went away when we headed to Rushmore. It started to rain off and on and the road grime pretty much trashed the Spyder and trailer. That bummed me and Len out but what are you going to do? :dontknow:
This is what we were driving into.

We got some great shots when the rain cleared.

Had a great ride from there to Crazy Horse. It rained on and off but once I got over the dirty Spyder thing I started to enjoy the view.

Crazy Horse was pretty much packed out and we couldn't get very close to the building to park so we had to park around back. We were all getting hungry and needed to charge our batteries so we just took some pics and headed to Custer.

One of my Goldwing members I ran into.

Looks clean from the front but the rear is wasted

Len is pretty beat.

SpyderPops is ready to eat

It quit raining by time we pulled into Custer

After fueling up we got a bite to eat. This is a good picture of Len "sleep eating"

After lunch we headed for the Wildlife Loop looking for Buffalo. See those black spots way out there? those aren't Buffalo but that's pretty much what it looked like when we did see them. You just never know if they are going to be close to the road or not and it was not a good day for the Buffalo shot. Oh well it was still a great ride.

Now what I didn't tell you about the wildlife loop is that I had a major brain fart when I was leading the group in. I was tripping out that I had somehow enter in a one way road because all I saw was bikes and cars going out and the road was so narrow that I just knew I was driving the wrong way and there was no way this road was meant for traffic both ways. I made a u-turn in the middle of this road with the trailer, two Spyders behind me and a minivan. I thought I just spared their life but what I really did was make them all including me look like idiots. When I headed back the other way I realized I was going the right way and that was just a really narrow part of the road. It turned out to be a good thing because some of the boys needed to use the head anyway. The long day had caught up to me and I was pretty much done.
We still had one more stop we had to make while the crew was here and that was Sturgis. I had made arrangements to meet with Stan from V8 Choppers to do the last part of our video shoot. As most of you know I love this bike and Stan offers me to take one out for a ride every time I run into him and I always take him up on his offer except for today, I was just too beat to have 500hp between my legs after a day like that so I'm heading over there in the morning with Len and we're going to take them out before the crowd gets there. I'll get some good pics then.
Made it into Sturgis and I'm pretty much done

I'll check back in tonight. :doorag:
