I was talking to a friend this morning who owns one of the 1st Harley Trikes that came out (the FULL HD trike not a conversion kit). Took it yesterday for the 3rd time in a year because of brake failure. Had to brake hard to avoid a collision and went into limp mode. The other 2 times had the same problem, 1st time it happened after he stopped normally on a stop sign and went into limp mode, second time he almost got ran over because it did not fully stop.

Someone asked me the other day on why the :spyder2: took so long in starting up. And then when my (another HD owner, a 2010 Dyna SuperGlide) friend bought his, I saw that the salesperson told him that the computer had to boot before he could hit the ignition. Took as long as the :spyder2:!!

?: Have you ever timed how long it actually takes for your Spyder to "boot" up? Since patience is not in my DNA...I did...seconds folks, seconds. Ahhh another reaction to our hurry hurry world.....
So do I need to just relax and enjoy that moment..truly is the only one I have...never know 15 seconds of stillness just mite put the winning lotto numbers into my head....oh dang

The bootup has never been an issue with me. I just turn the ignition key then put on my helmet and by the time I'm in the saddle its ready to roll. :thumbup:

So the Tri-Glides aren't finding computing life to be all beer and skittles either... I wonder what the typical Harley owner uses the bootup time for?? (I use mine to slap the bucket on my noggin, get my gloves on and release the parking brake...)

The only concern would be if you left the ignition on for a long period of time. It would eventually drain the battery because of the current draw from the lights and electronics.
