• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Forums and more forums?

OK so I'm brand new and wont have my Spyder till tomorrow or Friday. And I've been lurking and throwing out questions here for a few weeks now. And folks have been most helpful. Then I learn that there are more forums relating to the Spyders out there. I really like the way this group operates and I was wondering if there are any opinions one way or the other on the other forums.
Also wondering if there is a national club out there - I'm used to HOG and BMWOA.
Just interested.

I was on three forums at first--I am now on only one. IMO: This one is the most informative of them all.

The main thing you will see if you forum jump, is the people with issues or complaints usually hit them all with the same postings.

This is the only forum I read, look at or check.:welcome:

There is a club of Hulligans they have no leader and are governed by total anarchy. Give them a try ,,,although I don't know how to contact them :dontknow:

I'm more of one to extol the virtues of this forum viz a viz mentioning anything which may even seem to be negative about other forums. It's kinda like most have said. They come to spyderlovers because they like it best.

I know a guy who knows a guy who says he thinks he knows someone who knows someone else who knows how to contact the Huligans! ;)

:agree:

Look at how often people post on the other forums and you will probably come to the same conclusion as most of us have spyderlovers.com is the only forum worth visiting regularly.

Not criticizing the other forums, just stating fact --- the others are extremely limited in content when compared to spyderlovers.

Spyderlovers folks tend to be more articulate and state cases for and against things in an easy to understand manner.

They also undersrtand that launching a new automotive product doesn't happen in just a few years..... it takes time and a lot of it to sort all the things out.

I have subscribed to a number of forums where things were so negative, it was a hassle to log on. Sypderlovers has their share but overall this a very, very upbeat and knowledgeable bunch.

I don't think it is appropriate to go to one forum to ask about another. It's like asking a girl you are courting about her sister. It's kind of rude. Why not just go to the other forums a while, and make up your own mind?

Heeding Scotty's wise advise, I did just that last night. As others have said, the chioce was easy. :2thumbs: So I'll be around.
Thanks to all for opinions and advice.
Right now, I'm getting ready to take delivery on the Yellow One later this morning.:ohyea:

p.s. I go to other Spyder sites and see if anything is there I need to know, stay a few minutes and then back to Spyderlovers.com.
