How about this! Ethanol may be going away! Or at least we may see more Ethanol free fuel in the future.
You can read about it in the link below but basically the Senate, by a large majority, has voted to end the tax break (subsidies) that made ethanol in fuel a money making proposition for fuel companies.
This means that (if it passes into law) the end users would have to pay the full cost of ethanol fuel at the pump (which actually, we already do with our tax money at the government end of the deal).
Straight gasoline is actually cheaper to make than 10% ethanol fuel. Straigh gasoline gives you about 10% more power and 10% better fuel mileage as well, and for less money!
Ethanol is a bad deal all the way around except for the farmers who make money off the high price of corn created by the huge demand for ethanol.
