• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Excessive Complaining

Just wondering why is it that the Cry Babies and Constant Complainers
seem to be the ones always having problems with their :spyder2:...

The names have been changed to protect the innocent...:gaah:...

:2thumbs::agree:above. But---is it just me or----does it seem we have less rants and raves than previously?

I have no problem though with those who have problems and come looking for help. There are many helpful and knowledgable people on board.

I am not a mechanical person, so leave that advice to the experts. I do like to get into a good discussion though with the perpetual ranters--and I have done that before.

:hun: Why would anyone complain about something that has no problems? Guess I don't understand your reasoning.

Arntufun: I am guessing the names have been hidden to protect the innocent. There really is some good stuff to be found though by searching the threads. We had a really good discussion back around the first of the year though. Nuff said.

:agree:
Almost makes doesn't it?
People with problems complains or vents and people without problems don't...

Let's see how you feel after your spyder has been in shop almost 7month straight and you are shaking from spyder-withdrawal.

Ken, I understand and I'm sorry about your Spyder. If it's any consolation I wasn't referring to you in anyway:(...Hope you get it back shortly..

Agreed. There are extremes on either side of the scale. I think it's just nature of the beast that the folks who DON'T have problems are less likely to write of the positive experience and those on the other side need to vent (and maybe get some help). It is just human nature.

But I have to say that the "complaints" and/or negative rants seem to have gone down. I think also that what once was a "complaint" post is now being replaced by "calls for advice" posts. This is no doubt due to the high level of skill and knowledge that some of our guru members provide to us. Thanks to you gurus out there, you know who you are! :D

Don't spit up!!

I think there are a few who have Major problems and just report what broke on their Spyder, And because the Spyder is the only Machine [for what ever reason] most reader's can only ride they the readers tend to take those reports as complaints.
I would report why my Spyder is in the Shop for the last two weeks, with no end in sight, and an estimated two grand + bill, But i don't want to sound like like I'm complaining.

Well I have to say since my ignition coil went bad in march, my Spyder has been running awesome. I put 400 miles on this past weekend alone.

Now that aint no complaint, that's a full-tilt situation. I am very sorry to hear this, Sir, but I would like to hear more about it as well. Perhaps a new thread?

Again, I hope they can get you fixed up soon.

:agree: I've had very few problems with my RT and I thank members such as Nancy's Toy and many others who have posted or answered posts about the problems and now have been solved - often with lots of humor! :roflblack: For example the "missing" right side grill, the moaning when going backwards, squealing brakes. Then there is "death grip" while ryding and the resulting difficulty with steering.

Thanks to all - the complainers and the problem solvers!! For every one that speaks up, there are probably others that quietly read the complaints and solutions and breathe a sigh of relief that they are not the only ones with a problem.

Happy Spydering!!!:spyder2:

I'd like to complain about having to go to work in order to pay for my Spyder addiction, but what good would it do me? :D
