• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Dad may be a new Spyder RT owner soon...

My parents came to visit us this past week and my Dad spent a lot of free time asking me questions about the Spyder and the differences between the RS and RT. He also wore out the binding on the pages of the Spyder catalog I had here at home. We also did a couple rides on the Spyders while they were here, including this one...

On Saturday we got to go out and do a test ride. He test rode a Viper Red RT-S with the SE5 and said he was totally comfortable on it after the first few minutes and it just made him want one even more.

Today we found out that he is getting the job that he was hoping he'd get that would make it possible for him to afford a Spyder, now he's measuring space in the garage to find a place to park it. :D

Congrats! Sounds like he is just needing to figure out which color!:spyder2:

When folks have asked to ryde ours, I let them know it is the last thing they will want to actually do if they are hoping to keep any of the last bit of resistance they have towards purchasing one. :roflblack::shemademe_smilie: I can say without a single doubt, the three folks that have ridden ours, owned a Spyder in less than 30 days. :roflblack:   :firstplace:

That road heads towards Antioch, doesn't it?? My SO is in P-town taking care of her mom (post surgery) for three weeks.

This is the only time of the year when the hills are green/attractive - at least there IS a time…. Most folks don't realize how much open space California has = the population is crammed into smaller areas, with lots of space (still) around them...

We measured, and measured, and RE-measured, and came to the conclusion that we need a bigger garage!!! :roflblack:

Yes, and by P-town, do you mean Pittsburg?? Cuz that's where I live.

And yes, this is the only time those hills are green. The rain is mostly gone so in a few weeks or so it won't be as colorful.

There are tons of open spaces to ride just right here in and around the Bay Area. No shortage of places to plan rides, that's for sure.

SG: P-town = Pleasanton, since I was a Livermoron, that's what we called our (HS) arch rivals…. been a bit of water under the bridge since then - like 16 years of college, and "a few years" post…. Enjoy your Spring rides - Spring hasn't hit Oregon yet.

Ah, okay. Never heard it called that, but okay. See you at Spyders in the Redwoods????? :D

Pittsburg, CA..... I could never be a Steelers fan.... YUCK! (Colts baby!!)

And yeah, it's an addiction. :D

Yeah, it used to be called Black Diamond and New York of the Pacific. Somehow they settled on Pittsburg...something to do with coal mining.

Danville huh? Thats close....er where I live! LOL I think all Indy Spyder riders would welcome another owner/rider!

I told him that there was someone there that had a RT that lived there in Danville, he said that he has never seen you around. They live in the Clear Creek subdivision off 36 on the western end of town... by the high school. When I lived out there I lived just northeast of Avon on the edge of Clermont by IRP. I graduated from Avon HS.

That would be cool if he got his and you guys could hook up. He's pretty damn serious about getting one, the question is WHEN.
