• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It wasn't a real 'flash'; my shirt was just low enough to suggest femininity, not hourly rates. Just enough for ya to know, ya know?

OK' In that case your just Engaged to him.:yikes:
But in South Jersey that would still constitute a Marriage.:roflblack::roflblack:

I would just say "What?", let them respond again and keep saying "What?" like you can't hear them, then they will finally get frustrated and move along. Works every time.

Ive never gotten a spite-full-negative comment, but I have had ppl ask me why I bought a Spyder instead of a Motorcycle in a condecending manner. My favorite respose to questions of that nature is that the spyder is never meant to replace a motorcycle. Its a completely different entity on its own. Drive one and I promise you'll fall in love!

When I get that question, it is usually posed as "... why did you buy a Spyder instead of a real Motorcycle?"

I took my spyder out today for the first spring ride ( a cool 49 degrees). This was also the first ride since I had the VSS recall, new HMF pipe and a few mods to make her look pretty. So obviously on the first ride of the season, I was so happy and grinning from ear to ear. I'm at the gas station fueling up, and this longhaired bearded guy pulls up to the light on the corner of the gas station in a beatup old chevy car. He looked liked he rides one of those motorcycles that cost a fortune, leak oil and has not taken a shower in two weeks. Well anyway, I'm looking in that direction and he rolls his window down and screams, "Only girls ride three wheels" and drives off. My bubble I was in just bursted and my jaw just dropped. I have never received any type of negative feedback out riding. NEVER !!! The only thing I could think of, was to extend one of my fingers upright. It almost took some of the fun out of the rest of my ride because I kept thinking about it. Why would some person try to ruin my first spring ride ??? :gaah:WWYD ??? (what would you do)

You know what, people that put others down only do so because 1)they are jealous, 2) they aren't happy with themselves or their life and want to make other people feel the same way or 3) because they are just plain A$$H$#@$. Who cares what other people think, especially some stranger. Don't give him the power to upset you and ruin your happiness, not even for a moment because life is too freaking short to allow that. If it happens again, I'd say it is a real chick magnet and freaking leave it at that, don't give them the satisfaction of knowing that they phased you at all, better yet don't let them phase you! You like it, and that is all that should matter! There will always be someone that will try to SH%* on your parade, don't let them!

I've actually heard that one...I've always responded by saying that about 40% of bike accidents don't involve anyone else and are due to dropping the bike, so by being on three wheels, it's a lot safer...most people understand this simple fact and respect it as most who ride 2 wheels know someone who has had a bad injury or has died while on a motorcycle...

I've got this also, Why didn't you buy a real motorcycle? This person then went on to tell me how many times he has crashed and how many bones he has broke.

I've never gotten any negative comments. The worst I've gotten is a few sleazy looking HD riders who 'look away' from me. Most riders however, wave and are nice. I've gotten a fair number of questions in parking lots, a couple of car drivers honking and waving, and few pedestrians gawking with a big smile on their face. But while reading this thread, I have developed two 'canned' responses ready for negative comments:

In repsonse to questions like why didn't you buy a real motorcycle:
"I didn't buy a motorcycle. I bought the most fun roadster that has ever been created!"

In response to mild derogatory comments:
Nod and say 'thank you'.

In response to more derogatory comments:
"What on God's Earth would make you think that I care about YOUR opinion?"

Wow! Can't believe this thread is still going. Ya gotta let it go, people! I mean really, what is the alternative, put two in his head? Sounds pretty silly doesn't it?

Jerk-offs will be jerk-offs. Ya gotta let 'em go. Now if they come after ya, THEN put two in his head! :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: And that's all I have to say about that...

It's hard for some people to let it go, I mean it's like going into the middle of a Trailer Park and yelling;
''Walmart Sucks'', And then when the Trailer Folks get upset, expecting them to let it go.:roflblack::roflblack:

When you say 'two', are you referring to lobes of the brain? This would certainly help as a whole brain is better than no brain! :roflblack::ohyea::D

I just picked up my new RTs yesterday and love it. A little back ground my last 3 motorcycles have been Harley Davidson and I enjoyed everyone of them with that said as soon as I saw the spyder I fell in love with it's look I now have my dream machine. Don't worry what other people say stupid people are everwhere Many happy miles of:spyder2: riding to all of us.

So what did I have made up for my wife's RT-AC (complete with foxtail?)? Man, it hurts when I have to take her :spyder2: to go gas it up. And when making a manual left turn signal, I have to make sure my wrist is in a straight out position, not limp! :lecturef_smilie:
