• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Only girls ride three wheels !!!

Sounds like a jealous pr:cus:ck to me!:chill:

Oh so agree he was just jealous and doesn't have the guts to buy one cause his dirt bag buddies would rib him.:agree: cause they don't understand the fun, friendship and reasons we ride. Plus, bet he does NOT know we can beat his A:cus:S on a take off.

Just my two cents but if you choose to ride or drive something that is not mainstream you can expect some negative comments. I ride a scooter and our group gets positive and negative comments.

There are times that I wish more people did not like Syders, and would not ask so many questions about it. It would give me more ryding time when I am out.

If the scooters is traveling in the middle of the road like normal MCs, then I'll wave. But if they are unlicensed ones traveling on the shoulder, then I won't. But eitherway if they need assistance, I will stop to help a fellow ryder.

My wife rydes a 150 cc scooter, and hugs the side of the road. She has not been on two wheels since her moped days 30+ years ago, and is still getting up to speed on it (baby steps) with only a few miles so far. Given time, and a ryders safety course soon, she will be in the middle of the road in no time. Final goal is to get her on a Spyder of her own, but it will take time. Ryde safe everyone.

I never understand the three wheel comments. It is really completely different than a two wheel motorcylce,...not meaning to compete. I like riding atv's and those are 4 wheels, is that for girls too?? To be since atv's are not legal street machines, this is the closet thing

I'd have said "Yeah and girls usually ride men but that's something else you wouldn't know anything about, I'm sure."
And I agree... I'd have caught up to him at the next light and smoked his butt!

"Only girls ride three wheels" and drives off. My bubble I was in just bursted and my jaw just dropped. I have never received any type of negative feedback out riding. NEVER !!! The only thing I could think of, was to extend one of my fingers upright. It almost took some of the fun out of the rest of my ride because I kept thinking about it. Why would some person try to ruin my first spring ride ??? :gaah:WWYD ??? (what would you do)

Arntufun, oh stop being a girl.:roflblack:

Late getting on this thread, as usual. Can't believe how busy this site is. Haven't had any negative reaction to my Spyder at all, but I can see how you'd feel when it happens.
I posted, somewhere else on S L's, how H D had their chance, back in the 90's, and muffed it. Design for the "Y" configuration was handed to Corporate, and they turned it down, flat! They produced that overweight, overheight, too narrow tryke, instead. Have to say, my hat's off to anyone with guts enough to ride one of those things. The thing I like best about a Spyder, is it's inherent stability.
Far as two-wheeler's reactions to the Spyder, I've found some pretty darn good comments coming my way, from those guys. One exception was up around the Milwaukee/West Bend area, last Fall, while riding my :spyder2:to the Elkhart Lake races, and back, from W. Bend. Bunch of HD riders in that area, naturally, and they ain't a thumbs-up, and smilin bunch, by and large.:D Still got a lot of attention at Road America, and bikers on other brands were just fine.
Like has been said a lot in this thread, just consider the source, and ryde on.

So far, I've received nothing but really positive feedback. Most people around here haven't seen anything but the TV ads, or maybe one driving down the road at a distance, so there's a lot of fascination.

I honestly can't imagine riding a delta trike - not the same thing at all.

From my experience, it's the number of wheels. Three is only for people that can't ride two, even if it's a Harley.QUOTE]

Am I just not catching this in the proper context??:gaah:
What did I miss? :hun:

...and I'm sorry if I missed your point!

I'm having an argument on Facebook similar to this. A friend of mine went to a demo ryde in Puerto Rico and posted pics of her ryding it on Facebook. One her friends, a Harley (:yikes:?) owner, comments "Those wheels are for cowards". I angrily replayed him telling him to dare call disabled veterans and long time motorcycle riders "cowards". He just replyed back "That is why Harley makes trikes and have conversion kits, those wheels are still for cowards".:mad::mad:

Can't answer him back because I don't Facebook at work (personal issues), but I will write him an "nice" letter to him basically telling him that I don't give a rats :cus: on his opinion on the :spyder2:, but stay away from the ryders.

Why waste your time? An idiot is an idiot...you're not going to change him...

When people tease me about the Spyder I just think that they have third wheel envy... they are mad that they paid the same or more and got one less wheel. :)

well, i spoke to several guys at work about my :f_spider: (and showed them pics on my phone while it was in the shop gettin mods) and one guys says "you know, motorcycles scare the :cus: outta me, but i would ride that."

a friend of mine also confided "i was never really interested in motorcycles, but if i decide i want to buy a toy, or something to ride for fun, i would get one of those" - this after he went to the dealer with me last Saturday to make a spot inspection to see if the mods met my standards. this same friend says "i do not understand tattoos. i don't want them and can't understand why anyone would." trykes are like bikes and sports cars: they are not for everyone.

if someone tells you they hate your ryde, tell them you hate their (hat, teeth, breath, shirt, accent, whatever) and see how they like it. or just say "well, you don't have to like it since you are NOT gonna ryde it!" and if you want to throw in a "i bid you good day, sir!" for effect you can.
