• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I apparently washed the Can Am logo off the left front of my RT-S ..... black paint on plastic chrome, so much for $25K quality :gaah:

Blue Coral ($5-6 for 1/2 gallon) from Walmart works as good as anything I have tried (And thats alot!) It won't take off your wax. Have serveral hundreds of $$ of detailing products in my garage. Mostly Griots Garage products which work well but are pricey.

I've been using Cycle Care Formula 2 Bike Wash Concentrate for the past 10-15 years on all my Goldwings, H-D Ultra Classic and now on my RT-S. It works GREAT. It's a little spendy ($38 for a quart) but well worth the investment. (...and a quart will last you a LONG, LONG time)

McGuier's Quick Detailer and Pig Snot... :yikes: Yes; it's a brand of polish!

:ohyea:
I lent my last bottle of Pig Snot and a 20 to my son, The bottle and the 20 Shall never return. They make more 20's so that's not a problem , But i think they stopped making Pig Snot . Might have something to due with the name.;)

That should be a warranty repair. I had mine replaced after I owned the RT for 8 months and NOT QUITE 10,000 miles (9600 miles, and damn it burns my butt I couldn't make that 10K last season).

Must have used a degreaser or a strong solvent... Use dishwashing soap.
Careful... dishwashing liquid concentrates have been known to remove clearcoats from new cars, decals, layers of wax, etc etc.
I think about the safest thing to use is a specialty car wash product sold by most autoparts stores or Walmart.

If you use dishwashing liquid make sure not to use Dawn unless you want to remove everything including wax.

Thanks for the advice... But I use a little tad of dishwashing liquid. And we never use Dawn at the house... usually some Sam's Club generic brand that lasts a full year at the house. But I will consider using specialty car wash products since now we have 2 :gaah::gaah:black cars and they are :cus:ing hard to keep shiny!!!
