• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'll show you my skid plate if you show me yours... ;)

Well.. I've got my spyder apart for some upgrades and I took off the front bumper assembly and got a good look at my skid plate.

My GPS took me down a road one day... started out to be a gravel/dirt road and was passable, but after 1/4 mile it turned very rutted and wasn't spyder friendly. If I did over 10 MPH I'd hear that skid plate and god knows what else bouncing off the ground. I think that was the road that did the most damage to the plate... not that I'm worried about it. It is supposed to look that way after all if it is doing it's job.

:dontknow:
I heard you say some people replace the skid plate with a medal one, Not a good idea, The plastic one will take a hit and come back down a medal one will push up and wedge up and possibly do more damage. Let alone trying to remove it if it gets bent out of shape.

Yeah.. I thought of that a bit too. This sell this part for I think $54... Not that I think I need a new one or anything.

Great video!

And a good story to go with it... I think I've been down a road like that in Wisconsin, one of their "Rustic Roads". Only the kind where the road runs out all of the sudden and you have to backtrack 10 miles. ;) Still a great ride though!

Yeah... I compare that road to riding a jet ski.... You know when you turn into some choppy water and you feel the hull smack down again and again into the bottom of the waves? Feels like you are skipping. That road was exactly that.

Skidplates? That's what old road signs are for; right?? (Just don't get caught taking a Stop sign from it mooring!)
if the bracketry is stout enough... a metal pan under the belly of the beast might be a nice addition...
I always armored the bellies of my ATVs since all we've got up here is rocks and they saved my bacon more times than I could begin to tell you!
