• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. CampGrounds?

No clue about this area. Does anyone know if there are any dog-friendly Campgrounds that are gonna be close to all the BRP Spyder Festivities :hun:

Anybody :dontknow::helpsmilie::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Would be cool to find one where other SpyderLovers are gonna be at as well :2thumbs:

Lamonster BBQ

Does anyone have info about the Lamonster BBQ date and how to get there from the I-81 and Greenville exit.

Ride from KC to Maggie Valley

The BBQ is on Thursday, June 16th.
I will be coming from Kansas City(leaving KC on the 12th) and plan on arriving in Maggie Valley on the 15th. That way I will be there in good time to get in on Lamonster's BBQ on the 16th.:clap:It's about 827mi so I would do it in 2, maybe 3 days.
Is anyone coming from the West that might want to ride together?:dontknow:
If so, let me know [email protected]

We are coming

My wife and I have motel reservations and are looking forward to the event. See you there.

Don't think we'll make the BBQ since that's our travel day. About 7 hours from my side of NC to Maggie Valley.

What Campgrounds are SpyderLovers Stay'n at?

I've calls in to a few of them, but since I have no clue:dontknow:of the area, I'd like to stay where there are fellow SpyderLovers. So, if anyone thats going to the MaggieValley BRP Event and are camping would let me know where your stay'n, I'd appreciate it

I wish we could help, but we will not be camping if we make it to the event. That saddens us, since we love to camp, but the need to ride down in a hurry, the unknown about how far Nancy can push herself in a day, and the difficulty with checking in and setting up camp at a late hour, made us decide to do motels this trip. Didn't have a clue where other owners were staying in motels, either.

Good news today! Nancy finally had power at the school, so she was able to work today. Her principal offered up a possible solution to the need to work past 6/14, due to them exceeding their snow day allotment. He is willing to let her take the added, final days as unpaid leave, with his blessing. That gives us hope that we can make it after all, if the superintendent approves. Now if the weather will settle down to avoid even more snow/fog days, and the recovery from her hand surgery in March goes well, we may even be able to make the BBQ. I'm so happy I'm planning a lengthy return on the Blue Ridge Parkway, just in case. :D

:2thumbs:Good News Scotty, glad things are look'n up for you & Nancy. Hope all goes well for both of ya's

We may be camping on Friday and possibly Sat night. A lot of things are still up in the air. We have actually thought about riding part way home on Sat night so that it isn't an all day ride home on Sunday with work on Monday. So many things to consider. If we find a campground, if we go that route, I'll let you know. Also, keep us posted if you find something good.

Almost there...

Ok... so my wife's New Orleans professional conference is looking like it won't happen (too much $$$ and although the Agency says they MIGHT:roflblack: reimburse, it is still too much), Maggie Valley is looking into a possible trip.

So... in order to this to happen, a friend can let me borrow his enclosed trailer and to make it a little more enjoyable, the doggies might join us...

More to come:popcorn:
