• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

100,000 KM (62136.8 miles) fix for the GS/RS

They have a fix for your odometer now that will allow you to go over 100,000 KM (62136.8 miles) without resetting.

Here's the catch, you have to get the software update BEFORE it turns over.

Have your dealer make sure he has the latest version of BUDS (3.0.5) and then have them go to the toolbar and go to modular>cluster and then they can download the update.

You will lose the 10th of a mile in the odometer but it will be retained in the trip meter.

Awesome! Sounds like a good fix. Don't really need the 10th on the Odometer if you can get it from the trip mileage.

Long overdue...and very Welcome! Thanks for sticking with it, BRP. Thanks for letting us know, Lamont.

Is the fix going to relese the "Hour Meter"?

BRP: THANKS FOR keeping with this and seeing it through and providing the update for us!!! Good fix!!:thumbup::thumbup:

LAMONT: Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will pass it along to my local Dealer when I'm in next, soon.

DOC: Thanks for finding the error and bringing it to our attention with your crazy-awesome amount of spyder miles!.

Am I missing a point here? What is so important about 1/10th if a mile?

Maybe... I understand the point to be not the 1/10th but the fact we can now see 100,000 miles instead of the 99,999 max it once was. In return since this is a software update and not a speedometer replacement fix, we loose the 1/10th in the miles meter but retain it in the trip meter...

And thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you!!! Very cool fix!!!

Although I no longer own my GS, it is still in service. I am very pleased that BRP found a solution and is implementing it. My hats off to them!

Thank you BRP.

As far as I can tell from reading this forum, there are only three of us who have had the odometer reset to zero. Lamonster should be right on the edge, since he reported 60,000 miles at the end of December.

The fix is too late for the three of us, but sounds great for everyone else. I will have the update done so I don't flip the odometer a second time.

This will help adding a digit for the mile:

...however we don't know if is helping with the Hour Trip:

...and Total Hour Meter:

I'll see if I can find out something about the hour meter. I can't say I really use mine for anything but it looks like there is plenty of room to make it work.

There will be a service bulletin on it within the next week or two. My guess is it will be free. Should take less than 10 min.

Thanks for the note on this, Lamont.

Just to clarify thought - can the Cluster/Odometer update be done through Dealerships now (if they have BUDS 3.0.5) or will it only be available after a service bulletin is released officially?

Thank you.
