HeliBars Power Mount

While searching for a way to install a GPS unit to my '09 :spyder2:SM5 (dealer installed) HeliBars, I found in their site http://[URL="http://www.hilibars.com"]www.hilibars.com[/URL] two items of interest. A power mount for Can Am Spyder ($59.60) and a wiring harness ($24.00). Has any one used this set up and how good or bad is it? Thanks

I have these.

That power mount and harness requires the helibar riser found here: http://www.helibars.com/product/roadster™-riser-can-am-spyder

So you need to spend $369 on the risers (I highly recommend these), before you can use that power and ram mount insert. :doorag:

Thanks Scotty and WackyDan, I have the HeliBars on the :spyder2: so I will order the mount and the wire harness ASAP and install it when my Corbin seat arrives sometime next week.

I use mine for the battery tender. I keep my ram mounts up higher in my field of view. I just added a powerlet plug to the tender and plug her in when in the garage.

I also siliconed where that power insert goes as it looked like water could get down through to the connector if I didn't.
