• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HMF Exhaust Installation Problem

Installed a new HMF carbon fiber exhaust on SM5 Spyder equipped with rear passenger footrest extensions. Exhaust installs too close to body and touches the parking brake assembly on the right hand side of the Spyder damaging the exhaust. Has anyone else had same experience and if so how did you resolve the problem.
Already contacted the manufacture; they offered no help. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

Mine fit great, but I didn't have the foot peg extensions. Try adding a washer to the inside of the mounting strap to move the exhaust out a bit. I have had to do this on quads before.

Yes-- mine did the same thing. I made a spacer out of some gray PVC --- I think it was around 1" diameter and 1.5" long. Used that spacer on the bolt that holds the pipe to the footrest ---to move the pipe out away from the bike.

Mine got damaged on the bottom---:cus: -- filled it in with some RTV and the damage can only be seen from below.

Other than that--- -I LOVE THIS PIPE!

You could also get the 90 deg pipe bent a little out to help-- but I've got a good 5,000 miles on mine and it's holding up just fine.

HMF needs to fix this problem by bending the 90 just a bit and providing a spacer for the rear mount.

You might have to use a longer bolt too -
