• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Fender Removal

I removed my rear fender, it looks pretty sweet, I love the color on that orange bike, that looks awesome, what color is that exactly?

Having stumbled across Steve's rear fender mod and liking the look, I did the same my self yesterday. Just waiting on a used OEM left bracket to modify and refit the upper belt guard.

Just moved mine back 1.5" by drilling and tapping the underside of the luggage rack as Eric did. No way will the tyre touch it now with spring fully compressed. Even better! :2thumbs:

WOW!! I love it!! Do you ever have a passenger? I am guessing yes since you have a backrest.

Any problems with it rubbing the tire?

No problems one time me and my wife did the Dukes of hazard over a hill down in hocking hills. We hit as hard as it will ever hit and there was no rubbing so it passed all test.:2thumbs:

Hi Eric.
Fantastic looking paint job.
Did you paint or powder coat the sport rack and back rest?
I'm looking at repainting my grey back rest and rack to suit my white 2010 RSS. I'm not sure if I should repaint them in black or white though (black would contrast and continue the flow of the seat and dash)
Thanks for any advice if able.

They are painted. I think white will look the best with silver racing stripes.

White with Silver stripes

Thanks mate, I'll find myself a painter then as I was concerned with the powder coat affecting clearances with the assembly anyway, and also want to paint the nose of the machine to match the body panels.
Silver stripes eh??? I'll have a look at that option as I just had a better look at your paint job. That looks really classy, and does the stripe continue down the front of the machine?

Best wishes from Oz.
