• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The wing and carbon fiber are on

You did a great job with the wing and the wing looks good but Sorry Bro . Put it back on the sprint car .:dontknow:

BC,
I didn't do it for astethics.
If you drive it to the limit you'll find that it is constantly in oversteer.
The wing seems to help some.
I'm going to pretty up the wing a bit with radiuses on the endplates when I build them from carbon fiber
The pictures make the wing look larger

If I get this right you won't be able to see me long enough to tell if it's pretty as I pass you

Alton, You are the pioneer here. :clap:Seems that the end plates would generate a good amount of side force which would be a good thing on the long sweeping curves. I think that is what you wanted to achieve to keep the back end in line, right. The Carbon fiber fender and sport shield look great. You've got the pro street thing going, pretty cool. Besides if you carry a passenger they will have a place to nap! Keep up the good work. Dennis

It's a work in progress I'll clean up the wing esthetics after I get it tweaked performance wise
They'll be carbon fiber and rounder to match the look of the bike but you gotta start somewhere

Alton, You are the pioneer here.
Maybe not, it was done shortly after the Spyder hit the streets. This I loaded this pic 02-12-2009 07:42 PM :doorag:

Makes you wonder why these never went on to a longer production run other than a cost issue and the fact that they need to be out just a tad more to be more effective.

But still, it's cool to see people push the envelope! Keep going Altonk! Yer doing great!

I see it's been a drinking weekend.lol

But true "Genius" can EVOLVE from a drinking week-end! I don't like the look of it but I like your thinking on this.I'm going to view this as your proto-type and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.:2thumbs:

It seems people either think it's cool or really don't like the way it looks

I ordered wing rev 2.0 today. same size, better airfoil design

I am having the end plates radiused to give it a rounder look to match the bike and having the whole wing powder coated black.

The full airfoil design should give more downforce as opposed to the current spoiler design.

The downforce is noticable, I can feel the rear end squat some at speed and it takes more throttle to break the rear tire loose.

I'm gonna try to get some more quantitative data this weekend.

I also am going to lower the handlebars a bit more to get my upper body further down and out of the airstream

For some reason that wing brings back memories of the Flying Nun.
It is cool looking though,
Then again i liked the way the Edsel looked.
