• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newby Questions

Hello, I am still waiting for the 11 RT S models (just kidding) and just have a quick couple of questions.

1. If I get a CB, it it worth the price the dealer will charge to install, or is it easy enough for me to do?

2. I have been riding Goldwings and a Victory Vision. What will I need besides the RT S and the CB to have an intercom like that on the Wing and Vision? I am not interested in bluetooth at this point.

Thanks

Willy

Willy,

I too have owned both the Wing and the Vision (plus an HD Ultra Classic). The CB/Intercom option will give you intercom capability just like your previous two bikes; BUT do a search on the forum and watch the settings. It's frustrating until you get it set properly, then it works fine (as an intercom). If you plan to add the GPS also, you need to know that the intercom and GPS do NOT interface, you cannot hear GPS directions through your headset. BRP is aware of this and just doesn't seem to care that they charged us premium prices, but only gave us mediocre equipment.

But the intercom works fine.

I was planning on plugging in the GPS to the Aux port. That should work, right?. I have a 32gb card in my 660 and all my music is there anyway. That is kind of how I do it now. Does that sound right to you?? Thanks for the response.

We installed our own factory CB... was not too much trouble IF you are methodical and PATIENT!
