• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-S trailer hitch

I am thinking of buying the matching trailer, but want to be able to remove the hitch when not towing. The dealer says it's not easily removable? Anyone know if there is an easy way to remove the hitch, or at least most of it?

Step 1, the hitch comes off real easy
Step 2 find a new dealer. That one is clueless

welcome You may have spoke to a salesman who is not into wrenching, so he does'nt know. If you are handy it will go smooth. :ani29:

trailer hitch

welcome. The hitch is easily removed. Pull a cotter pin, remove a nut, slide a bolt out and remove the body of the hitch.

That is basicaly what my dealer told me! I have not done it yet mainly because the mudflap on the tow hitch is a great signal for clearences to the ground getting close without hurting anything else.

Only one thing I remember in addition to the dealers above information and that is something about retorqueing the nut and replacing the cotter pin? Anybody know anything about that for sure? Bill ;)
