• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 Photo Scavenger Hunt

Still looking for prizes

It won't be long before the Scavenger Hunting Season is closed. We have 13 Spyder Ryders from across the country playing the game. From what I've read, I think they are having fun playing and it certainly gets us out on the road which was the main objective. And the photos are GREAT

I'd still like to have vendors offer prizes for the participants. I think the best bet would be a gift certificate for whatever amount the donor feels comfortable.

Winner chooses his/her prize. #2 chooses next...and do on until all prizes are gone.

Come on Sponsors...help them out here.

Another great riding day. Much cooler in Ohio than Texas...

11. At a BIG Rock with something interesting on it other than graffiti (100 pts)

Centerville (OH) High School has the Elk as its mascot. This is a bronze elk on a large rock. Also has a small, albeit man-made, waterfall.

45. In front of a water fall (30 pts)

Clifton's Gorge, east of Yellow Springs, Ohio, has several small waterfalls, mostly inaccessible to motorized traffic. This fall was hard to get a clear shot of (it's the falling water between the windscreen and my wife), but was worth the ride. There was also a covered bridge here, so I've added that photo for posterity in the bridge entry (previously awarded).

irish2themax would picture be a valid picture for #71 {rainbow} if my bike was underneath the business sign?

Lol..Not even a few pts for creativity?? Roadkill is so far in front with his 45 letter word...he'd never miss a few points! :joke: I just couldn't resist though.

Thanks Spydeb! We gals may have to gang up on these guys. They seem to be a tough crowd. No creativity points or even your brownie points seem to even count. :dontknow:

I too am really enjoying looking at everyone's pictures. It's fun to see what everyone is coming up with.

Brownie points?..

Ride on.
Roadkill

Brownie's are a branch of the Girl Scouts of America. The term was coined for good deeds.
We Deb's are sticking together, ha ha
Leaving tomorrow for 3000 mile week trip, can't wait to play catch up with the hunt. Hope to get great pics and locations to share!:2thumbs:

Gave you all but this one since it cannot be confirmed that this is on a big rock and not just an earthen mound

Irish... I am saying the "Welcome to the Flinthills" is the Interesting part that is written on the BIG Rock. That's why I had my husband up there so you could see how big the Rock is. It is actually a Limestone rock that is sitting on a bunch of limestone & flint hence the "Flinthills". If the Welcome part isn't interesting enough I can deal with that. :)

Thanks,
Deb
