There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Looking to team up with riders going from Michigan/IN/OH

Cindi & I will be going. I'm looking for other from the general area to meet up with for the ride down and back. We're in Jackson Michigan area....Larry

Not going this year.... my 6000 mile trip last year was enough for a while. But we are going to western Canada next July on the Spyder if anyone wants to meet up. :ohyea:

You need to get with Firefly and SomeGuy. They live down that way and are going to Spyders in the Smokies.

Sorry to hear you won't be coming. But from San Francisco it's a 'Fer Piece as they say out here.

Maybe we could talk Lamont into having a West Coast BBQ!

:agree: on all counts. It is surprising that more people didn't get stuck in that trap. This time it was the Spyder that got caught!

Last year it was Forrest getting stuck in the ditch, in the dark. It was an eerie sight. All those lights shining up into the dark sky with strange sounds emanating from the general vicinity. Not sure which were coming from the Spyder and which were coming from the rider.

Almost no one was there to witnesss it, yet it is widely known. Wonder

Forrest, I think everyone should cut you some slack and stop talking about you falling off the radar and disappearing into that ditch. It occurs to me that such an incident was fated and inevitable. After all everyone knows you can't see the Forrest for the V's! :roflblack:

We will be heading out Monday the 20th...Hope the weather is great for that week...........Looking forward to the :spyder2: meet and greet in the hotel parking lot at Red Roof Inn! :chat:

I'll be rolling down from the DC-Baltimore Area

Hi all ...

I've got reservations at the Microtel across from the Gatlinburg Convention Center. By yesterday (7/10), the Red Roof was booked. Leaving Maryland on 9/19 (Sunday) via I-70 (Frederick), then SW on Rt 340/Rt 15 through Harpers Ferry and out to I-81. Spending that night in Roanoke, VA, then will head out to arrive in Gatlinburg early afternoon 9/20 (Monday). I'm registered for the event through DOOTalk, LLC (folks ... don't forget to do this!), but didn't opt for the Saturday morning $12.00 buffet.

If anyone's coming down the I-95 or I-81 corridors during this period, especially if you plan on spending a night in Roanoke, please e-mail me. It would be great to join another rider or more and let the pack grow on the way south.

It'll be my first Dragon run.

Gatlinburg Chateau have condos available. These units run around $125.00 per night. They have two queen size bed rooms, living room with sleeper sofa, full kitchen, two baths, fireplace and balcony. Some units have hot tubs on the balcony. Just one block from Hard Rock Cafe. Great view of downtown with a glass elevator going up the outside of the building. Call 865 908-9003 if interested.

I got a room at Microtel, around $65 plus tax per night, just an FYI.

Signed up this morning! This will be my first Spyder event of any kind! Looking for someone from Illinois, to ride down with. Will be there the 19th thru the 25th.

Wife and I are going to TRY and make it up that way. I've been planning on going to N.C. since I first bought my spyder. Been too busy to get up there and right now with the weather so hot, that's not an option.

I plan on being up that way sometime in late September or early October. That's why I said try.

2 Spyder Ryders from South Florida making a return. Had an awesome time last year so we can't miss it! If anyone else looking for a place you can check with Westgate resort, it is just as you leave Gatlinburg on the way to Pigeon Forge. Who else is riding from Florida and when are you going up?
:2thumbs:

Where did you plan to camp? That would be my choice if I decide to go.

+I was planning on NPS' Elkmont, but two things changed my mind, in order:

Uncertain reservation capability in the National Park, and lovely wife booked me at the Rodeway Inn for an avg. nightly cost under $50 for my three chosen nights of 9/23 - 9/25. (So, for the REST of my trip I'll be traveling and camping...)

btw, it's a two double bed room. If anyone's interested in the other half for $20, let me know.

Ride on.

John,
Look forward to seeing you again. I plan on making it back this year. I talked to Tony & Cindy, Mary & Terry. They will be there. Nick is playing it by ear. I couldn't find Chris' phone #, but Mary said she thought she had it and would give him a call. I'll be coming up on the 19th or 20th and staying through the 25th or 26th. I'm still working out the details with my work schedule.
We are excited to see everyone again. We have reservations at Red Roof Inn again and are planing on staying from 19-25th.
