MAPS vacuum line length?

While looking over the my engine on the RS, I found first a cracked vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator so I decided to check any other vac lines and discovered my vac lines running from the MAPS sensor measured 3.5 inches and my manual says they should be 4.33 inches. Was their a change in the specs? What are the symptoms of having improper vac line lengths?

In theory if a line was real long (as in several feet) it could delay the response time of a pressure change to the MAP sensor.

However, your just about 0.8 on an inch will not be long enough to make any real running change in this system.
