WHAT A TRIP I HAD! I don't have time to give the whole story now, I will in the next few days.
COWTOWN did not dissapoint, these guys are top notch all of the way. Spent 2 days with Len and have made a new friend, what a terrific person he is.
I had one minor issue with my new RTS SE5 but Len and crew were all over it and got it fixed. I rode 1,010 miles home from 2:00 pm yesterday to 2pm today and it ran like a finely tuned machine.( as I said, I'll get into more detail another day)
I met Bumble Bee and her husband, Spyder Gene( what a piece of work he is),2 inthe front( I think that's right..), another Spyder Lover originally from Belair, MD, all of the Cowtown family. Felt like I found a new home with these people.

You have to forgive me as I was really tired when I met you (worked all night the previous night then rode down to Cowtown to get my ryde looked at), but Gary is the name, right?

Anyway is was very nice meeting you and I am glad to hear the RT rode like a charm on that long trip home. Did you end up taking 70 all the way? Can't wait to hear the adventure that it was and maybe see some pics of the journey as well :2thumbs:

It was great meeting of all of you guys/gals too. Gene, it was OK meeting you as well, that noise you heard was me taking mods off of your ryde : )
I went home a more southern route, Rt 64East to Charleston, north to 81.
Yes Sam it is some ride, Cowtown took me for lunch and when I got back it was finished. I left at 2:00 and man was it HOT out!:yikes: So when it got towards evening I just kept riding across Kentucky as it was cooling off. I stayed at a Super 8 in Grayson, Ky (east end) Slept from 12-5am and left for the second half of the trip. Almost NO traffic for hours, road through a lot of twisty highways in WVa. That was cool!!

I live 30-40 minutes from Aberdeen in southern Lancaster County.

Did a lot of riding in that area 89-93, think I even got shot at in Cecil County once. I was riding along the river and heard a shot and a couple of days later on post we were told to be careful in that area due to someone shooting at non-american made bikes. Beautiful country and a lot of people I knew during my career retired there.

We had a similar situation on our way to the Cowtown SpyderFest in April.
We now drive 3 hours to Cowtown because we also have found a new home for our service and our purchases.

Yup, that would be me. I used to work in Aberdeen when I was still there though not on the Proving Grounds. I think to this day Cecil Co. is still not a place you want to be riding around in. Anything past Havre De Grace I stayed away from when I was there :yikes:
