Air induction in the Rain??

Anyone have the foglight tunnel to airbox induction tube installed? Have you ridden in the rain?? Is there too much water ingested into the airbox??

I'm getting ready to ryde to Pierce, ID, and assuredly will see (at least) showers, and want to know what to expect. You Easterners see lots more rain that I would ever ryde in ...

I think as long as you have the airbox you are going to be okay with the induction.

I remember back in the day when I removed the air box from my GSX-R and was running individual K&N filters on each of the carbs. Having them fully exposed to the weather was not the brightest move I ever made. If I was riding in the rain, I would have to stop about every 20 minutes and bleed the water out of the carbs in order to get the bike running properly again. pps:

Oh, I forgot something important...

The stock airbox (and thus the air induction you are talking about) allows the air in BELOW the air filter. If any rain got in, it would settle in the bottom of the box and not make it over to the intakes.

I will admit to a lifelong weakness for the Brit bikes...LOL. Still have a 65 Triumph in the garage. BTW, take any lighting or ignition problems you have with a Brit bike and double them if it is a 6 volt system, like mine. Boy, I sure can pick 'em, can't I? :roflblack:
