All you need to do is go to the hardware store and buy a "star' washer and put them where ever you have metal to metal contact. Works like a charm.

Did that...still will roll if you put a good amount of pressure on them. Also shouldn't have to go anywhere for parts for something that is supposed to work out of the packaging.

If you want these things to stay put and do not lay them directly on the bracket, they are a poor design as they will not stay...

I have them on there and no go...should I take some pics and email them to you? I have tightened everything as much as I can and used red locktite...I still think they will move...

Also, in the pic above from someone else, they have two arms...my configuration only has one...am I missing something or did I not order this? I do have the ISO wing (black) as his pic shows...

The RS kits come with 2" links, the RT kits come with 2" and 3" links.

I am happy to help. I went out to my garage and I STOOD on my highway peg with all my weight (240 lbs) on ONE peg with the 2 inch link and it does not budge.

This is WAY WAY more load than you can put on any Harley style crash bar mounted highway peg.

If yours are not staying put, there is something else going on.

You should call me at 623-298-7835 so we can try to figure out what.

Agreed...lemme email the pics to you so you can see what the heck I have going on...I can stand on the pegs (weigh 235) if the arm/link is pegged to the bracket below, but I need more room to stretch and prefer not to have the link pressed against the bracket...every time I would pull it off the bracket and adjust from there, I couldn't get it to stay...

I can get you pics this weekend at some time and hopefully I'm doing something wrong...truth be told though...I've tried a bunch of combos without any success yet...I even went to Home Depot and bought thicker lock washers to use....they still didn't prevent the link from moving around when I put a good amount of pressure on the ISO wing...

Please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to interfere here, or belittle anyone's problems. This is merely a question to satisfy my need to know, since this subject confuses me so. What I want to know is how one could put very much pressure onto highway pegs during normal use? It would seem to me that they are just a place to rest your feet when your legs are extended, and they would never see much pressure. With the legs at that angle, I would certainly not imagine them taking full body weight. Am I missing something? I admit that I am not a fan of that seating position, so I have never used them in my life, but the mechanics of this problem greatly intrigues me. Can someone enlighten me?

How about when you park near No Magic's show tent at Americade and some 250 pound guy decides to jump up and down on one of your highway pegs without saying a word or asking if he can mess with someone elses Spyder, just to see what will happen. Then walks away in a hurry when he bends it?

Yup--- I've had numerous people sit on mine and they instantly put their feet on the highway pegs... then I tell them those are NOT where your feet generally go. Scares me every time as mine are not made to take tons of weight.

I think this issue has come about from the pics of someone standing on the KM highway pegs on their website. I can't imagine that would be good on any highway pegs that I've seen so far.

Simply put, when I'm riding and putting my feet on them, the link/arm rotates...it's that simple...vibration tends to loosen things, esp. under load. I have a different lock washer on it now and used a lot of red loctite...haven't been out enough to test them but every other thing I did was for naught. I would be riding, they'd loosen up, and the peg would almost fall off in the process...

I'll get some pics and send to Matt for his assessment....

This certainly isn't much pressure...unless we have found Bigfoot, at long last. If they won't take the light pressure of your feet resting against them, something is wrong. I'm sure Matt can help you work it out. Star washers between the link and bracket, and fasteners tightened to torque, should do the job, as Matt says. When the star washers bite into the powder coating, it should be very difficult for them to move. Before you work things out with Matt, I'd run to the store and get some new star washers. If you have compressed these during several attempt to get them to work, they may not bite as well as new ones. You may want to try bolts instead of screws, too, although they won't look as nice. Easier to torque them down properly. Locknuts would resolve any vibration loosening issues, too. I hope you guys get things resolved.

I believe you were looking for some extra links. Hilda dug up 2 extra sets for you and she is shipping them out. There was a 2 inch and a 3 inch. I will check with he on Monday as to exactly when they shipped.

Thanks for the feedback. The Star washers were added to the kits only after we started shipping the RT brackets where we included a 2 inch and a 3 inch link and people started stacking both links together. We never really had any issues with the RS brackets which only have a 2 inch link. The geometry of the RT and RS are different and the RS kits never needed the longer links. I did not intended for customers to use both links together, but that's the way these things tend to go. The star washer was a fix that really works good so we just decided to add them to all the kits.
