• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another unhappy camper!

I ordered parts got them fairly soon. Asked if they had they foot pegs in stock was told yes. Ordered them. Week later nothing,,, called was told items were being shipped out that very day,,, week later still nothing. Called was tolded items weren't in stock,,, would be in at end of the week. Still nothing,,, left message and emailed them to cancel order.
 
Yeah, it happens, usually to me. I ordered the mirror extensions and the SILVER Spyder radiator cover, mirror extensions came in and a RED Spyder cover. Got in touch with them via email - they apologized and said they would send the correct one out. 1-2-3-4 weeks later with an email to them a week they finally responded and said the powdercoater was holding things up so I said I would take the regular web cover (no spyder) in several emails and they finally sent that one. Happy with everything, seems good quality just had to wait.
 
I ordered the Highway peg brackets and pegs but now I regret it. After seeing all the grief you guys are going through made me email them and tell them to cancel my order. I went with them cause they're Arizona based. But waiting weeks to months is out of the question. I already discouraged two other people from ordering from their site. If this is the service everyone is getting I think we ought to spread the word so nobody gets screwed and sit around waiting for their products. There is plenty of other sites that offer the same product. Just say'n..:mad:

Why would you personally want to "hang them high" when YOU didn't even give them a chance? Just asking.

KewlMetal... Mad Matt and Big Joe... have a good long-term reputation both here and with other bikes. Something has obviously happened recently... maybe a medical or family problem?

Not ordering because of what you read is one thing... and I have done it, also. However, a vendetta based on NO personal experience is another.

Just my $0.02. Don't need change... thankyouverymuch!

It's nothing personal, it's just business. If someone waited over a month for a product then I believe the business had plenty of chances to address the issue. Even if something happened tragically. I'm not trying to be mean but customer service is long gone IMO. That's why I left H-D. Again, it's just business, nothing personal.
p.s. You can keep your $0.02. I don't need any change.:wrong:

I have ordered from KM 4 different times in the last 18 months. I have never had a problem. I had to wait a little longer on KM new risers as I had ordered, before the 1st production run. I'm really pleased with all that I have purchased from KM

I emailed KW Saturday and I recieved a response this morning, first day of the work week.

Sir,

KewlMetal does care about their customers. We care about our customers
very much. We are a small family business and we do our best to take
care of every customer that we have. Due to the spring rush, we have
been backordered on a lot of our Spyder products. We inform every
customer that places an order if the item is on backorder as well as the
timeframe for when we will have it available. If it does take longer
than expected, we make sure to let our customers know. As for not being
able to get a hold of us, we have 3 phone lines and there are times when
all 3 lines are in use. On our voicemail message, it states that any
inquiries may be sent to [email protected] and they will be answered.
I answer every email that comes in personally and in a timely manner.
That is the best way to get a hold of us at this time due to the
overwhelming number of calls we are getting this time of year.

If you provide me with your name or order number, I would gladly provide
you with status on your order.

I have ordered from Kewl Metal 2 times since 2008. Both times were for foot peg brackets RS & RT-S. The most recent purchase was in April for the RT-s brackets. I was informed in my order confirmation that there was a back order and it would be 2 weeks. Two weeks later my brackets showed up and with a very reasonable FedEx Express shipping cost about a 1/3 the rate of other items I bought from another vendor that used UPS Expedited and in the same time frame for delivery. I have no complaints with K/M. This is to Canada btw.

Highway pegs, wow? :hun: Are you pegging the arm against the bracket so it won't move or have you rotated it back a little? If you do, it will invariably move...this is not a good design as they need to triangulate the configuration to get two bolts into the bracket to get it to hold...as it is made now, it will not stay still, no matter what you do...oh, unless you weld it...and doing so should not be necessary with this type of product.

I'd like to see where the arm is on the picture with him standing on it...must be pegged against the bracket...no other way to do this...this is a bit deceiving to me...I'd like to rotate the arm up to get more comfort, but I can't as it won't lock down...argh!

I ordered the air shock my order got delayed twice i was going to call again today but forgot. I always do an email comformation and today my order shipped. Attention Kewlmetal Just be honest with your customers and everything will be cool thank you.

We do answer EVERY email so not sure about anyone complaining about not getting a response??

Although I am not personally and directly involved with the daily order processing so I can't directly address each order status, I will let my staff do that, and I know they bend over backwards for every customer. You are more than welcome to call me if you have any issues, 623-298-7835, If I don't answer, I return 100% of all voice mails, usually same day.

As far as Elka shocks, Elka takes 2 weeks to make ANY shock, plus 1 week to ship so there is no way for Kewlmetal to make this happen any faster.

We are a small company with a lot of products, sorry but it would literally cost millions of $$ to "stock up" on everything so we never ran out. Parts are made as they are ordered, especially these days, I think you will find a lot of companies operating this way and frankly we don't have a choice. Please plan ahead and order what you need well in advance of a ride! That being said, we DO TRY and keep it all in stock the best we can. We are forced to let inventories run down in the winter, so spring time is pretty brutal on the back orders, especially this year. The same is true of our suppliers and we are at their mercy. If you were told 2 weeks and it does not happen in 2 weeks, that is because someone in the supply chain has not come through on a promise they made to us. My staff would not have told you a time frame unless they had information that made them believe what they told you. Sometimes whole batches get rejected because of quality issues, and that can cause a multi week unforseen delay. If any of our dealers have something in stock that we don't, like ISCI, please, by all means support our dealers!

The Highway brackets are all shipped with the star washers. These go in between the link and the bracket (not under the bolt head). This will lock the link in place.

My personal phone line is always open 623-298-7835, we take personal care of every customer at Kewlmetal!

Matt, I love my highway brackets, I was on another forum and mentioned I had ordered yours, and this
forum member PMd me saying he heard there was alot of vibration from a reliable source, well after the install I told him that these are
a dream and no vibration. funny how rumors get started and just seem to carry a life of their own. Keep up the great work :clap:
