• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Soft bag recommendations?

For a stock Spyder RS, what would be the best soft bag to purchase for a 2-3 day trip? No passenger so I could use the rear seat. Thanks!

I use the Nelson Rigg CL-1000. New enough had them on sale, but I haven't checked lately.

Hey Randy, I used the Cortech softbags and my Bikersfriend seat bag and had more than enough room for the trip to Cuba, MO. If you get a Bikersfriend bag go with the XL like Brian got instead of just the L. I think it looks better and it holds more. I think I have a photo of my spyder with all the bags on it.

and here is the thread with the bikersfriend bag in it. Bikersfriend

I have the Nelson Rigg CL950 bags. The only difference between them and the CL1000 bags is the 950s each have two additional zippered compartments on the outside...a little more storage space.

Deb, I notice you have the straps over the seat, is there any problem lifting the seat to fuel up? I had mine running under the seat, but would rather have them on top and under the rear seat bag.

Tina, actually I do put them under the seat. They are over top in the photo as I had just got them at the time and wanted to get pictures. I adjusted the seat pin to make it easier to close with the seat but now I have no trouble. With the straps under the seat fueling is no problem.

I agree with the Nelson Rigg. I love mine. The only problem I had was getting the stiffeners in them. But the effect of having a bag that doesn't 'deflate' makes it worth it.

lil tight but you can add extra velcro if ya like ...had them for a year now!

I received mine and noticed that one set of the velcro straps are too short and do not reach each other. :dontknow: Where would you be able to obtain these velcro straps? I'm installing the bags under the Corbin rear seat, and I need to be able to adjust them so me wife can continue riding with me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... :spyder:

I thought that Nelson Rigg said Spyder owners could contact them and they would send out velcro extension straps to make their saddle bags work better on the Spyder.
