• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Vanessa it was nice to meet you as well.. Folks you are going to just love Len, Vanessa and there little son, they have really took the extra step in order to make this such a GREAT event, seems as though Gene and Len have all the i's dotted and the t's crossed, Thank ya Gene for going the extra mile on this one.. There where 3 spyders that did the pre-ride yesturday and I would like to address (with only 3 of us) all the small conversations that we had with the small civilian population during our PLANNED stop's so having said that, gear yourself up for lots of talking once we make the stops, they are going to FLOOD you with questions and WOW"S.

Very productive day although the weather could have been a bit better nicer it was still a pretty good day to have the spyder on the road..

Joe, Lisa, MoLee, Bumblebee, G-Man it was great to meet you all, hope you enjoyed your preview!

:2thumbs:

Great meeting you all too; Vanessa, Colton, and an honor to meet a Warfighter Medic (Andy) as well. Best of luck to you Andy at Ft. Sam. Thanks to Pit Bull Buggy and Mrs Pit Bull Buggy for putting this gathering and "route recon" together. And thanks for breakfast too. Great time had by all. Only wish BumbleBee and I would have been able to ride. I'm just not as tough as those three.

I wouldn't call us tough, its just we are more adventurous. Besides all that water on the roads helped get the winter salt off the Spyder.

You need to get the real thing first, 4-months and counting :2thumbs:

I am not sure if I would want one, depending I guess. :dontknow:

Your BIG day is fast approaching and I'm jealous. Wish I could be there with you...looks like a FANTASTIC event. All of you who worked so hard to put it together should be proud of what you've done. Other than Gatlinburg, probably the BEST Spyder event I've seen.

Just one caution...DO NOT let Gene lead!!

Sorry to hear you can't make it :(

Gene probably will be up front

I am so happy the Rendezvous is coming up-------I have a chance to make all new friends----which I really need.
smilingene

Time

So far all the folks I have met on a spyder have been fun seekers and not ashamed to admit it. Gatlinburg was a fine example--- Lamonts BBQ nothing but smiles The guy from Canada that thought the green pool cover was a tennis court and tried to walk across nothing but smiles.
A time to be remember and many of us were there.
Now the Missouri Rendezvous is a gathering of many of the same spyderlovers---just the thought of that group makes me smile. Me and a bunch of other people have a chance to do something really fun for spyderlovers and its coming together. If you have been to a bike fest or major motorcycle event you will quickly realize that this one is unique. Today I got a call from a 2 wheeler who said this event is incredible he has never seen or heard of anything like it. The work involved by many people back stage happens because they know it will be appreciated,
Thus far the those signed up represent riders that want to help in anyway they can.
I am smiling right now knowing that we have worked to remove any semblance of bike shows in the past.
For those that are unable to attend the Rendezvous we're sorry you couldn't make it.
We are going to take lots of video and everyone taking pictures will want to share theirs ---so we have a plan. We will put together a web site to share the Rendezvous---not the same as being there but the best we could come up with.
Gene

14 day's to go

Sorry so long between posts--passwords and I don't always get along :gaah:

Cheers to the pre-ride crew! Thanks for being the testers. We are finalizing more and more stuff each day to make this a super event for all!

Gene--I'm a little afraid to be your friend. Did all of those things happen AFTER people met you? :yikes:

Countdown is officially ON!

still might be able to swing this yet, got my boss to switch my shift out with. have to see. Any handicrapp rooms left at that hotel?
