• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please add me (Teacherbob) and Spyder Bill to the list. Made hotel reservatons this morning. Can't wait to finally meet some of the good people I feel like I already know from this forum. This is shaping up to be a great Spyder Ryders gathering. See you all on the 17th. I'll see if I can talk the boss into kicking in some gift certificates to go along with the other door prizes.
Any other local Spyder folks interested in going along let me know and we can get together for a group ride.

:2thumbs: Alright more names on the list.. Who can pass this up..

Joe

Welcome aboard. Looking forward in meeting you all :2thumbs:

TEACHERBOB and SPYDER BILL
Your 57 and 58 on the official list.

I have to share with all----This past week we all had a chance to get out and ride a little in MO.
We also had a chance to visit with other bikers-----and well----I had to listen to BikeFest in Florida----Good times in Sturgis.
When a lull in the conversation happen I mention that
some of my spyder friends have planned a trip to Cuba next month.
followed with
I could bring back some Cigars if you want.

I checked--- they do have a smoke shop in Cuba.

Colton's a real cutie...not to mention quite a rider for his age. That was pretty bumpy ground there! Looking forward to meeting your whole family - thanks so very much for volunteering to host this ever growing shindig.

Just did a Mapquest search to see how long of a ride this was and two Cuba MOs popped up. :hun: I think that is kind of strange two towns in the same state with the same name. So what's up with that? Is the other Cuba just a four way stop or is it an actual town?

Thanks all, He's my life:2thumbs:! He does think he's sixteen and not barely four......partly myfault there, let him drive the spyder around for a bit, and then he was ready to remove his tranning wheels and take off, I did try to talk him out of it, but he would have it no other way!..........guess driving a spyder really does make you start to become a super hero:yikes:. Just ask Colton lol. Again thanks you!

Yes that is a funny deal, I have seen that two and have been all over mo and have never driven through or seen signs for the other Cuba mo. Were the Crawford county Cuba, but good catch there:thumbup:

Just a thought. Maybe not enought time. Any chance of someone doing a t-shirt to commemorate this event ?
Yes sir we are having caps, t-shirts and other stuff made up.........and from what I've seen so far, there doing a great job at not making it 1980's stuff lol. But yes sir were on it!

From our house in Grand Blanc, I expect we would get there in about 11 hours including gas stops. I have driven there many times and even with stops to hay and water horses and wait for a caravan of trucks to fill up and letting kids and adults eat and use the restroom, we were always there in less than 12 hours. I think Brian and I are going to leave on Thursday night after I get out of work and drive for a few hours just to get a jump on things. We will either camp or stay in a very cheap no name hotel on Thursday night. That way we have less riding time on Friday and will be more refreshed for the Friday night's activities. If you think you want to join us for the ride down, lwt me know.

Thanks Deb for the invite. I will never be able to talk my wife into going. She thinks it will kill her back going that far on the Spyder and she might be right. She has never been on a long ride and she doesn't think she would make it. That is why I was checking the distance on mapquest. She said I could go without her, but I would rather not.
