• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Trailer hitch

The big question is, will the hitch from the RT fit on the RS? Are the connections the same demensions and so on and so on? Does anyone have any realtime info for me? Picture would be the best.

Thanks for the time, PE# 1189 :helpsmilie:

I am not aware of anyone who has actually done it yet, but the hitch is thought to fit. No reason why it should not, with the same swingarm dimensions. The wiring harness (that comes with the hitch) is another story. It is specific to the RT wiring connectors, and has the converter module integral with the connector. That connector is peculiar to the RT-622 trailer. Even if you decide to be inventive, and go through the thought and effort to andapt and find a place to bolt the module/connector, if you don't tow the RT-622 trailer, you will need to also buy a matching connector, or buy the trailer tongue harness and build an adapter. In short, for the RS model, those using the trailer hitch kit will typically omit the standard wiring harness, buy their own converter module, and rig up their own wiring.

Bill, you asked me this when you were at my house over the weekend and I told you that I heard that it did fit. Like Scotty said though, don't know anyone who has done it yet. :doorag:

trailer hitch

I know, for a fact, they are interchangeable The picture in my avatar has the MMG hitch installed. I ordered the hitch for my GS, but traded for my RT before it arrived. I installed it on the RT. The harness for the RT is not available without ordering their hitch. so I ended up buying it and installing it for warranty purposes etc.
I do like the adjustability of the Reese hitch ends. My camper trailer does not ride level because of the difference, in tire size, wheelbase etc.
I don't have any pictures of the setup.
