There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hi everyone,
Have had my Spyder about 2 weeks now and have to say "I love this machine"!! Haven't rode the Harley since I got it home. Been having so much fun riding it I haven't had any time to think about mods right now. They will come later. Just wondering how many Spyder owners live in my neck of the woods? I live in Spokane, Wa. We do have a dealer here and I know they have sold some, so where are you? Maybe they don't know of this site yet? I told the dealer of this site, and they didn't know that it even existed. So I had to educate them about it and told them to tell their buyers about it. I've seen some over on the west side of the state, but none over here. I only know of one other in this area and he's getting ready to sell it. He's a hard core Harley boy and says he only bought it for his girlfriend at the time. So if there's any in my area, give me a shout.

My suspicions were right. I do think I'm the only one in my area that has a Spyder. I drive truck local in the area and have not seen any other Spyder's on the road. If there are any here, the people aren't riding them. Don't know why? They're too much fun to let them sit in the garage. Maybe they're just waiting for the weather to get better. Wait and see, I guess. The dealer says there's alot of interest but no one buying because of the economy. And we're isolated enough up here that even used one's are hard to come by if you see one. Closest one's i've seen are over 300 miles away. For right now, I think I'll have all the fun. HaHa....

I'm on the other side of the Cascades, but venture to Eastern Washington on occasion. And I know that I'm not the only one that makes my way east. I plan a trip over to Spokane area later in the summer.

There was a dealer in Kennewick (Shumate) that shut it's doors. I believe the business is up for sale with the promise of re-opening this year. Until then, I believe you'll have to head west or south for parts and service.

There are some great roads out your way, and I enjoy even a short day trip in Eastern Washington. Enjoy your Spyder, and your "celebrity" status - I imagine you'll be a few years being the center of attention!

That's an understatement being the center of attention.LOL..Everywhere I go, heads turn and many thumbs up, not counting the half hour fillups at the service station. Everyone wants to know what it is and where they can get one and how much. I think we're the best sales people in the company who own a Spyder. The dealership in Kennewick will probably never open again at least not by Shumate. Long story there that I won't get into here. Roundy's Kawasaki here in Spokane has taken over the Spyder dealership, so we have a dealer here now. So if you get over this way you can stop in there and check them out. To date, they won't let the demo's out for test rides. All kinds of excuses for that, from people not having endorsements for trykes, to insurance reasons. How do they expect to sell any if they don't let people test ryde? If you do have a chance to make it over this way, be sure to look me up and let me know when you'll be here and we can meet for a ryde together. Safe journeys..

Hello Rider2554,

I'm in Pasco Wa. I bought my Spyder from Shumate when they were in business. Who is your dealer in Spokane? I am up there fairly regularly to visit family and I need the second update done. The Spyder is a blast and it gets plenty of attention that is for sure.

Hi Reinyn,
Good to hear from someone somewhat close by. Only 130 miles from me. Our dealer here in Spokane is "Roundy's Kawasaki" on the Newport Hwy. They took over after Shumate went under. So we do have somewhat of a dealer here. I say "somewhat" because they're still not letting any demo's out for test rides and are assuming most people will buy without a test ride. Service dept seems to be up on the spyders though. Talked to the service manager at length and he assured me that they can deal with any service work we might need. When you get up this way, look me up.
