• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This morning before daylight I let my three Basenji (dogs) out into the yard. About 20 minutes later I went out to feed them and as I walked around the corner of the house in the shadows I tripped over something. I could not see very well but it appeared to be a dead Possum. My first instinct was to grab it by the tail and get it out of the yard in case it was sick and get it away from the dogs. When I started to bend down I remembered the term playing Possum and decided my best course of action would be move it with my foot just in case after several short boots with my foot I managed to get it outside my fence and in a matter of minutes it got up and disappeared into the night. Guess the dogs had startled it and it was waiting to get away from them. Sure glad I did not pick it up I might have lost another finger.

Almost made a simular mistake last night myself.

I figured I would let the dog out one more time before I went to bed. Well Ozzie made it out the door, started to go down the front steps, then "POW"!!!! The stench was over welming!!!:gaah: SKUNK!!!!:gaah:. Luckilly Oz is well behaved and came right in before he got showered.

We have coyotes now. Well probably always had them but one morning I was out on the porch having a cup of coffee and a smoke and I saw two huddle underneath HDX's canoe. They saw me, didn't care and wondered off slowly. And with all the snow we had I saw tracks all over - up to the porch. Can't let the cat out anymore. I think that is what got my last cat and definitely my motherinlaw's cat a few months ago. If I'm ever home and wonder out to one on my steps - CLICK CLICK BOOM!:2thumbs:

My Golden Retrievers managed to find a skunk for 3 years running. Think they'd learn after the first time but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...break out the industrial-size can of Tomato juice!! :cus::roflblack:

Hit myself in the foot huh? Come to the range w/ me sometime and watch me - target has no heart left and no head left!

:2thumbs:

Only problem is She might shoot Herself in the Foot :joke::ohyea:Women products work well for Skunk hits ask my dogs how we know :D

Hey nothing wrong with Possum, Almost taste as good as Bald Eagle.
If it's cooked right!

Try monkey on a stick. Better than both of the above. Ate it in Okinawa, sold by vendors on the street. Just like the old pop corn vendors here in the old days.

Never ate monkey [i think] . But thinking about them, When i was at Long Binh the monkeys would hit the trip flares [for fun] then some of the replacements would empty there clips thinking !! Charley!! As far as i know they didn't hit one. Did leave enough medal so years later the Vietnamese could make risers for Spyders

I think Columbia uses some of the monkey skins to line the coats they have made in Nam.

Ate that from street vendors in Subic Bay in the Philippines, cat in Hong Kong, dog in Mexico, Gator tail in Fla. Blow fish in Japan. Snake in the Mohave desert, CA. It's all good:clap:
