There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Good News, Bad News

I am glad that it appears you are near the end of the tunnel. I am hoping it is the RIGHT END you are approaching!

But there is something VERY WRONG with this story. An entire engine could have been fabricated from raw materials in this length of time. If we'd have known it would go this way we would have sent NMN up to knock some heads right off the bat! :yikes:

The story stinks and it is too bad that you or anyone else should have to suffer this kind of wait. There is no rational excuse for what your dealer has been shoveling.

Your patience and loyalty are beyond understanding. Hope to ride with both of you again!
To Date I purchased 11 new H-Ds in 97.
had one springer with a bad main bearing with about 12.000 miles on it dealer flew motor to plant new engine same numbers all done in less than 11 days.I usaly trade in around 50/60.000 Miles all of my bikes total have never been to a dealer as much as my :spyder: at 20.000 my :spyder:would have about 30.000 if it wasn't for shop time not dealers fault at all waiting 23 days for parts a week here 2 weeks there adds up and I'm all about riding just lucky enough to have a spare ryde but lately I feel I ride it just to get to the next problem:ani29:Now winter is here and only get out in spurts:mad:

That will happen, even if it's not on a Spyder. Just try not to let your buddy shoot any more embarassing videos of us on the road. :D

I do not take any responsibility for what my buddy does on or off the road. He should be ashamed of himself treating a great couple like you that way! :yikes:

...Uh...Can I get a copy of that video Lamont!?

Well, my motor is back together and ready to drop in my spyder, that is the good news. The bad news is that when they ordered the gasket kit there were no exhaust gaskets in there and so now they have those ordered now. Should be here by the weekend and everything back together sometime next week. The true test, how will it run. They are going to flush the coolant system and clean it all up. My best guess is 3 weeks out, not next week, why not make it 5 months...Grrrrr

I am pretty sure for future service, we will check out Ray C's in Lapeer, it is actually closer to our home anyway.
Darn it Deb,
Wished that I would have read this sooner! I bought two sets last September and would gladly send you my extra set. Let me know if I can help.

:agree: I don't know why somebody did not just step up to the plate and ship a complete motor, bolt it up and be done with it.

I'm hoping for a Good News - Good News post soon!

I believe that if it was strictly a parts issue, BRP would have done that, especially after talking with Carlo. However, they won't just ship out a new motor because the dealer doesn't want to take the time to do the repairs.

Any update on either of your Spyders.....or would you like us to stir the pot a little again? Looks like you're back on hold. :(

Literally. :sour: I tried calling today. The main desk picked up immediately but when I asked to get transfered to service, I was on hold on and off for 10 minutes. Three times the main desk person picked up to ask if I was still waiting. Finally, he said they must be lined up back there and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I did, asking them to call me about the status of our Spyders. Never heard back from them. Unless things drastically change between now and Saturday, I'm heading up there Saturday morning with my car hauler and taking my Spyder to another dealership.

:gaah:

I cannot blame you one bit for wanting to take it somewhere else. You have been way more than patient enough through this entire ordeal. :(

Carl

Thank you so much for the offer Carl. I called again on Saturday and they had the gaskets in and they have my motor actually in my spyder now. Ah but not to get too excited yet. The mechanic was working on it Saturday and got called away on a family emergency so it is not completely all put back together yet or test driven. Brian called earlier today (Tuesday) and was on hold forever, then they took a message and no one has called back yet. I will be calling again in the on Wed morning to continue to check on the progress. I think it is supposed to be 31 degrees and sunny on Thursday. I could ride it home if it is all put together and running properly. If it isn't running properly, I may need some of your gaskets, because I will blow one.

We've talked with Carlo at least 5 times. He's helping us as much as he can.

Brian, you and Deb have been very patient throughout, but I can see your frustration in your latest posts. I really hope your dealership gets its act together and puts your Spyders back on the road where they belong!

Best wishes,

Bruce

Talking with them today, they are still trying to put a lot of the blame on BRP. :sour:

Hmmm.....I'm a bit thick but it appears you are trying to say something here... :yikes:
